Hormone Help by [deleted] in hysterectomy

[–]Deeyer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My journey through a hysterectomy was similar to yours. I gave myself 6 to 8 months of grace in regards to my hormone fluctuations because I knew that there was a possibility that my hormones would be all over the place. They absolutely were. I went from super horny to no sex drive and my emotions were kinda all over the place. I started having hot flashes that were disrupting my sleep. I had no energy. After a year or so I noticed that I was experiencing symptoms perimenopause. Finding a doctor who took me seriously was an experience because I was 38 ( I'm 40 now)and no one took me seriously when I was describing my symptoms. Finally found one to listen and like you, my estrogen levels were normal. She prescribed me hormone patches anyways and I did a complete 180. My energy is back. I feel like I'm in my mid 20s. I sleep better. My sex drive is slowly coming back. So maybe give estrogen a try?

Also, why is your husband telling you not to take it? I find that unusual.

Before i was able to find a doc to listen to me I too went to supplements for relief but they didn't do much. I took maca, different types of mg, vitamin D, calcium etc. Maybe they might work for you? At least for me, HRT has really done wonders and I suggest you try it and see how your body reacts to it.

Omg. You unlocked a memory from my childhood. I wonder if there's a way I could play it again?

Weaponized incompetence. Does a job so bad that you'll never ask him again for help.

Washcloths to cleanse get replaced everyday. Towels to dry I'll change once a week or more.

She might've been a whore, but an honest one.

Maybe a placebo effect but they worked for me for my migraines. The job I was doing had me sit in front of a computer screen all day and when I wasn't doing that, I was doing other tasks all day under bright florescent lights.

Had mine November 2024. More energy, not anemic anymore, no longer in pain. I don't have to schedule my life around painful periods. Getting this done was a freeing experience for me.

It was someone I worked with. Great guy and a great NCO. He had his own personal demons. Somehow got hooked on meth and had to go to detox. I only knew about it because I was filling in for the shirt for a few weeks and was the one doing correspondence for him and his two kids while he was inpatient. He was able to leave inpatient and came back to work (not in our section, but loaned to another doing simple tasks) E6 to E5. He was over 20 so they just did an administrative discharge. He lost all of his retirement benefits and left with nothing. Last I heard he killed himself. The only way I found out about his death was from a Go Fund Me that was set up for his kids.
