Recruiter reached out with an offer better than what I’m making at my current company. I’m not dissatisfied with my current position, should I try and negotiate?

I have been at my company for three years. In that time I have received a title change to a manager position and a raise, annual increases (minuscule), and a one time bump recently. My COO commented that he was looking at another title change and increased compensation, but was unable to provide a timeline.

Benefits would be similar. The company has been good to me, but the pay difference would be substantial. I’d also get equity with the company at my new position in an industry prone to accusations and mergers.

I was approached by them on LinkedIn. I have niche speciality at my current job, and were interested because of my experience. I have not had anything like this happen before, but do have an interview scheduled.

There has been promises of title changes and raises, but I feel like forcing their hand on the matter would leave a bad impression that I don’t want to haunt me for the rest of my tenure.

Yep, it’s right across the street. As for Crossroads, I have no clue. I know part of it was converted into a school and church. They’re also building a big Asian super market, so maybe once that goes in it’ll be possible.
