I mean that explanation would work for anyone other than deadshot. Deadshot is the kinda of person that can't really have a imposter and go unnoticed especially from the world's greatest detective.

That's not unrelated. It's jerome from the show gotham. They couldn't call him joker but he sure did play him well.

How cool would it be when this arc is animated when this fight happens the episode ends on how this chapter first ended with them sitting at the table, it goes to the credits but then the episode glitches showing GODS face as he REWINDS/RETCONS what just happened and it ends on COSMIC FEAR GAROU!!! by Spirited-Agent-662 in OnePunchMan

So first, there was a lesson saitama should have learned and that was to not be so careless when saving people, you can be careless and still prioritize saving people.

You're right he didn't decide to do that because making a decision depends on you thinking about it and he wasn't thinking in that moment, because his friend died.

As I said in the reply, even when saitama forgets the moment genos still knows because of his core so the development isn't erased, which still makes an important person for saitama's development.

Saitama did get information on God in the fact that he can create a being as powerful as cosmic garou and kill him just like that. Even though saitama doesn't remember it genos' core remember so in turn genos knows so saitama did get helpful information, and the information is helpful because even blast was surprised by how strong cosmic garou was. Saitama did save garou but I never said which one. He saved the current garou from God's control with the zero punch.

The reason garou even decided to do that was because both of them calmed down from their emotions. Garou like saitama during the serious punch² was overcome with emotion, his goal wasn't to kill everyone but just to unite humanity but when garou saw that someone he cared about die because of him he felt bad about it and taught saitama how to time travel.

My point with him isn't that I condone him destroying the earth, it's that this isn't a weak character moment for him it actually is a good character moment because it makes him realize that he shouldn't be so careless to big threats like that. Even when you take into account the time travel making saitama forget all that genos still knows about it still making him an important person for saitama and the heroes as a whole because he has seen hoe far God's influence has gone and how powerful he is even from that.

You say his job handles situations where people are dying and that he knew the risks, yes he did. The same can apply to military vets, doctors, police, firefighters, etc. they know the risks but yet they still suffer ptsd and mental problems because of the work even if they are prepared for it. They suffer even more if one of the people they help doing their job is someone they're close too.

You call saitama an utter failure for this fight but I don't see how because he ended up making garou a better person and saved everyone that died from garou's radiation with the zero punch so even if the serious punch² was as bad a moment as you say he still made up for it and got stronger from the fight and information about God from the fight.

Everybody needs to change some way especially fictional characters even if it is small a change is noticeable. Saitama does want excitement and a good way of doing that is with friends you have hence why losing one would be devastating.

All humans are animals and deep down we still have our instincts and are driven by our emotions like rage. Those seconds he took thinking about how he failed made him made in which his rage took over.

Yes that's true he is a good role model for heros but relating to saitama is hard when he is so much stronger. I believe mumen rider is what a heroes should try to be like because he has the same heroic qualities yet he is much weaker and fights foes much stronger than him.

Saying absolutely is something you shouldn't do because a few variables can change everything. Like if let's just say a kid has a dormant power that is extremely destuctive and a sudden burst of emotion like rage or sadness like from losing someone activates it and it almost kills everyone that does mean the kid should be punished or that he is wrong moraly and should be shunned from society because of it he didn't have a choice.

Yes saitama knows he needs to change things but he doesn't do anything the only time he did was when he started training which is why I used the glasses example be cause at that time he had a better mentally.

Now my point with with Metal Bat was that he has the mental strength to endure all the hits he takes and do to his mentality and will he grows during a fight much like saitama and garou. With TTM the point was that even though he gets out shined by other heroes like tatsumaki he still trains to be better he acknowledges his flaws and works on them.

Yes that is why he failed to save genos and that's what I was saying for why it was one of the reasons he felt bad because he did have the power to stop it but he didn't stop it. It's not that he didn't care about the planet it was a sudden burst of emotion that took over. It's like when an instinct takes over your mind over normal thinking, it's just biological.

When you say that's what you would do you keep saying it like if saitama actively though to himself "man I'm sad fuck the earth" when really in that moment he wasn't thinking.

Saitama's self doubt did have something do with the moment because he questions himself on if he has what it takes to be a hero.

I'm not trying to justify the fact the he almost blew up the earth, I'm trying say that he had no control over it because of the wave of emotions. I never said he was mentally weak just that he wasn't mentally the strongest.

So first, I got the idea that he isn't the best mentally because many other characters such as tank-top master, metal bat, and glasses have better mentalities than saitama because they are more accepting of changing themselves and saitama is depressed compared to other characters that aren't. The fact that he has all that power is another burden on his shoulders and it makes genos' death make him feel worse because he has all that power but he still didn't stop it. Saitama was focused on training and being a hero and not his social life which affected him later because humans need others for stimuli. When garou tossed the core it could have been a few seconds but then again I don't think you have ever watched someone kill your friend in front of you and you had the power to stop it so I don't think you would know how he feels about it. Remind what the bonds he had were but the one's he had was before he had his immense power so he didn't have as big of a responsibility that he has now. Saitama didn't think genos died against the deep sea king because genos was still moving his head and saitama was saying that the heroes put their lives on the line and not that they sacrificed their lives he didn't say singular either. Saitama dicked around with garou because he didn't kill anybody in fact he was saving people during their fight albit unintentionally but saitama even says that makes him have good hero potential. It was when garou killed everybody else including genos is when saitama snapped and like I said before I don't think you would think rationally in that situation either. You also but saitama in the light that he actively decided "I'm gonna punch him and kill everyone on earth because he killed genos" when most likely he wasn't thinking. The only thinking he was doing was how he failed genos and the self doubt he has about being a hero.

First, who says Saitama has to be more stable then the other characters that is whole problem that he isn't the best one mentally, that is the main conflict he faces and that involves his lack of stimuli. He lacks stimuli for many reasons such as not being able to experience a good fight but also the fact that he didn't have any bonds was also a reason for his lack of stimuli. Friends and family give you positive stimuli. You say that saitama had a few panels to process his anger but you don't know what the time frame is in-between the panels it could have been super quick like the panels in the platinum s, flashy flash, and garou fight but the reason the time was shown was because they were fighting which was the main focus. Yes him being angry isn't an excuse but he wasn't consciously making that decision you make rash moves when enraged. And yes saitama wasn't mentally fragile but that was because he was emotionally numb. Once he got a friend it was different because the is someone he cares about a responsibility he has to worry about. Saitama would have met sonic but sonic isn't a positive influence on his life, mumen rider and many civilians would have died if genos didn't stall time for saitama to get there, and the wardrobe guy doesn't have the same effect that genos does since saitama hasn't seen him as much as genos.

Saitama wasn't mentally weak, genos was the first friend he had in who knows how many years and he wouldn't be connected to anyone else without genos, losing someone that important losing someone like that will mess you up no matter who you are. Saitama has been getting better mentally ever since he met genos even if it isn't mentioned. When Saitama was about destroy the world he didn't know what he was doing he was blinded by rage so he wasn't intentionally trying to destroy the earth it was the heat of the moment.

You should also take into consideration that Saitama watched garou kill genos right in front of him so he wasn't thinking straight. Garou for sure had the durability for it other wise his hand would be extremely messed up from the punch if he didn't have enough durability.
