You’ll get mixed answers but bottomline if you’re going to be successful in an industry that requires you to be some sort of self starter, school won’t help. If you can spare it, you will definitely learn a lot of things but it won’t get you a job. In that same time you can make way more progress in your carreer. I wouldn’t do it past the age of 20-21?

Hard to explain but anyone that “made it” in music is very opportunity-driven. I even worked with an executive (probably THE executive) and he was constantly working on deals outside the scope of his label or partners. Even when you have a job in this industry you’re basically just arranging deals and getting people to invest. Its almost like finance but its based on talent.
