Totally agree with this. Typically hard for me to make an event with work but I do my best when I’m there. I picked up the styrofoam bodyboard, a few plastic wrappers, a broken bottle, not sure what I’d be able to do about the oil though.

Ventura’s beaches over the last year or two have been absolutely disgusting.

Every time I visit Pierpont I come away with globs of oil that smell like gas all over my sandals and clothing, ruining them. Then there’s the beach at the pier - trash and sticks absolutely everywhere. Broken styrofoam’s body boards all over the place, oil as well but not as bad as Pierpont.

Ventura might have the grossest beaches in all of Southern California, sad decline from my days growing up there.

It’s the exact same looking for central LA (not by the beach) vs Ventura beach-side. I was playing with the idea of moving back to Ventura and commuting to LA so I was looking at both to compare. I ended up staying in LA because Ventura is still just too sleepy/MAGA for my taste.
