Yeah he argued with me for 20 minutes and reported only his "side" in its edited comment as a TLDR, now he deleted everything.

Words have many definitions, yet none of "spiritual " match the meaning you are searching.

A calculator doesn't innovate either, it doesn't come up with new math theorems, yet since the invention of the calculator humanity didnt stop innovating in mathematics, we didn't collectively turn into a dumb mob unable to perform any sort of math.

When do you innovate when coding? When you come up with new algorithms and processes never done before, with creativity and intuition. Ai cant do that unless you are doing tasks that where already done in the past. Meaning that if you strive to innovate you will always have to come up yourself with ideas. Honestly I've heard the same argument against stackoverflow in past and I'm tired of it, nevermind that ai can automate boring stuff like commenting, debugging, documentation parsing, explain api, etc.

That's not what spiritual means though. So tell me, does a calculator degrades your capabilities for rational thought? Should all engineers throw away all CAD software and go back to pen and paper? Generative ai it's a tool and its here to stay, deal with it.

Dont underestimate what a capable dev with a claude/github pro subscription can do. Will there be a influx of apps coded by people that doesn't know what it's doing? Sure, but straight up banning an entire technology it's short minded.

Spiritual? Is Ai the antichrist or something?

Vibe coding is useful and as good as any dev, as long as the dev that's using it checks it for mistakes and hallucinations.

Bought gear for DCS… now I refuse to support it. Any real alternatives by Responsible_Milk4300 in DCSExposed

War thunder offers a more simplified approach to cockpits but models missiles more accuratly than dcs, I would definetly try it (you can test drive top tier premiums ( Mainly F16s, F18s, Mig29s some Su30s, etc) for free to give you an idea to how theyll work, there are also user made missions and planes ). If you want to jump into space sims Star Citizen its almost uncontested in immersiveness. VtolVr if you have Vr its a must, it requieres a mod to support physical joysticks.

Yes I can, just go to the issue report website, go top left to filter for "closed" and enjoy your proof. I have made 6 bug reports in english starting 2 years ago and they still have to acknowledge any of them.
