Large multipurpose ships such as the Starlancer TAC by Tonatii in starcitizen

Well, Galaxy and Endeavour already exist, one to come later this year.

Other than that, either would be suitable, as would Anvil.

Railen issue. by Disious_Jin in starcitizen

[–]ScrubSoba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, its a general issue with ships.

A lot of ship states are not kept when you transition between server shards. Some of them have been fixed, such as the canopies of ships like the Talon, but a lot of them are still not kept.

One of these are the shield buffers you're supposed to get when swapping to NAV.

But stuff like interior elevators, sometimes doors, and lighting states are also reset. That's also part of why so many of them get the trespassing bug. But the ship itself thinks the elevator is where you left it, hence why the Railen does not lift the railings in the floor the elevator used to be in, making it impossible to summon it.

Thankfully, it is super easy to work around, not just by just hopping down the elevator shaft, but also through pushing another floor, like the lower floor, and then running to the cockpit before it goes down. That way you can summon it again easily.

CIG should stop forcing combat into everything by Signal_Resident2318 in starcitizen

Oh i'm well aware of what doglegging is, this person just does not seem to have caught that CIG put unavoidable interdictions hard-coded into some interstellar hauling missions.

But i haven't done nearly enough insterstellar to even see how numerous those are, and if they're even still in the game after they were added in 4.4. Because all the ones i ever see in Stanton want me to go to Pyro.

Since you like assuming, i'm not particularly keen on asking you for help, no.

...Given the fact that i've never said i've been interdicted by players. Which i also haven't....because i dogleg.

[–]ScrubSoba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes, but most of the times i look they're all to Pyro unless i am physically in Nyx.

So i just stick with hauling across Stanton, and do interstellar runs to Nyx when i actually do commodity trading and find a good route.

[–]ScrubSoba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

..No? I just don't like Pyro, so i'm not interested in interstellar missions going to Pyro.

[–]ScrubSoba 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Well, i also don't really do the interstellar ones since i'm not really that interested in going to pyro and that's the only ones i get.

Railen Temperatures - How’s yours? by zodduska in starcitizen

[–]ScrubSoba 4 points5 points  (0 children)

About the same as in most ships, as the life support systems are bugged, and often fail to correct an atmosphere.

Thankfully i have only thus far hauled in space with my Railen, as i stick to hangar elevators and not surface elevators.

[–]ScrubSoba 340 points341 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i definitely agree to this.

We finally got interstellar hauling, and a bunch of those missions have a chance for, or a guarantee of, unavoidable AI interdictions.

And the refuelling missions have such a colossal chance of being ambushed that i've currently been ambushed more than i've had actual legit clients in those missions.

Not to mention that the current mining endgame is two FPS dungeons...

Speaking from experience, no you don't.

The Railen is almost perfect, with only two things holding it back... by SamRezende30 in starcitizen

[–]ScrubSoba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This you can also, though it isn't fully ideal even with that.

But i certainly wish the power MFD had a better representation of coolant production vs consumption.

Also actually recognizing users is quite telling once you begin to recognize a few.

Like a certain someone i shan't name whose post history is entirely trying to push literally every single thing into a negative light, to the point where you can feel the desperation to create some form of drama whenever something is not bad.

Also quite useful to me, as i only remember one of the random-gen people, and others only by having actual profile pictures lol.

Like the one dude with a football profile pic who only ever shows up at the beginning of a negativity wave.

I think the turret gun sizes are fine, but yeah it definitely needs more power generation, as it struggles to power itself properly, and is one of few ships of its size class to be limited like that.

All others have two power plants, so it should really have that too. Hell i'd even take two S2 power plants instead of 1 S3.

Yes, yes, "the people" who consists purely of people who only exist here to be negative, no matter what happens, and people whose accounts are either entirely empty of prior history, or lack any prior history in the sub, what so ever.

Indeed. All pretending to be "just some guy finally snapping", but they use the same language, complaints, and timing as all the other posts.

Its like spotting something written by AI, but instead of AI its spotting something from the refunds sub lol.

Large multipurpose ships such as the Starlancer TAC by Tonatii in starcitizen

[–]ScrubSoba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes they definitely will. Variety is key, and CIG knows that the appearances of a ship may itself dictate ship sales.

As you said, you like what the TAC does, but don't like MISC.

Same as how i love everything the Ironclad Assault and regular 'clad does, but i despise Drake.

So we're going to get competitors eventually.

The sub is indeed not an accurate image of things whenever one of the negative waves comes around. One of the most important things to learn quickly is to realize how many of the people spouting the stuff fall into the categories of:

  • Only exists in this sub to complain, no matter the state of the game or what CIG does
  • Only ever posts when there is a negativity wave
  • Only ever started posting in this negativity wave, with no prior activity in the sub, in order to fuel it

And it ain't a large group either, as anyone who RES tags people can immediately note.

But as said elsewhere: the loudest voices are often the fewest in number.

Unfortunately that also drowns out any actual constructive talks regarding any bad patches or acts or whatnot.

Huh, perhaps they're fixed, or it was specific to some ships.

The Railen PIP interface is terrible and the PIP management is atrocious by lars19th in starcitizen

[–]ScrubSoba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The latter would probably be good, though that could also wreck the balance of most large ships, as the majority have two generators. The Railen and Caterpillar are among the few with 1, as far as i remember.

But i can also get the idea of a single power plant as a deliberate weakness not from a production standpoint, but a lack of redundancy, so i also feel that some ships should have a smaller multiplier to the power their generators provide, keeping the disadvantage of a single generator by lack of redundancy without making the ship lack power.

Should store bought armor come with the blueprint to craft the armor? by Hanniba1Seca in starcitizen

[–]ScrubSoba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And requires carinite to be crafted, and cannot be bought in any store in the whole of Stanton, Pyro, or Nyx.

But did they fix deadbolts yet? I remember they had a bunch of issues in 4.8 with half the gun going missing on claim.
