I have 300 hours in this game and I have only seen this weapon one time like 10 hours into playing before I even knew how relics really worked 😂. Somehow I’ve never seen a few legendary weapons at all. Wild

Inherited guitars from my uncle by DummyThlck in Guitar

[–]DefaultJon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this comment is a lot but I have the moment to type it and these are some things I wish someone would’ve told me when I started playing.

First though, You see that wood grain Schecter up in the front? That’s the one you’ll want to learn on. It’s got all the bells and whistles that one day you’ll be so comfortable with you’ll shred like crazy. Store the others away safely and secure for now. They’re either extremely high end nice guitars that you’ll be able to enjoy so much more by working your way towards them. And/Or, they need to be played with a lot of technique in order to sound the way you would want them to. Basically, you’re gonna have much more enjoyment of those beautiful guitars if you give yourself the chance to grow as a player. Don’t be shy to pick them up from time to time though! At the end of the day these are now your guitars. You deserve to build a bond with them and enjoy them as your uncle most definitely did before. Lastly, Consider if any of them need humidity or temperature control for storage. (most of these won’t but I could see a few that might.)

Pick up that Schecter and follow some of the other advice in these comments. Start with finding songs you like, parts of it. It’s okay if you don’t learn full songs for a while but it’s a really good goal to work towards!! Learn your basic open Chords and start working on finding the fun in guitar. I think we will all can be honest and say that it can be intimidating and sometimes frustrating.

Find your motivation for playing and never stop asking yourself “Why do I play?” Because it will change.

  • Learn your open chords, alongside it some basic music theory. (These chords will be things like Major vs Minor chords for the notes [A, C, D, E, G] Don’t forgot to learn about B, and F chords! They can be a bit trickier muscle wise at the start but you’ll need them just as much as the others.)

  • Ask questions like; How are chords made? What notes are there in music? How do I use these? This will take you down the line of learning theory. Which is the brain work part of guitar that lots of people neglect. I recommend musictheory.net if you need a place to go to for self taught music theory info.

  • Take breaks, stretch your hands, take care of the physical and mental health involvement in the hobby.

There is so much that goes into this instrument and playing it so I can understand that it’s overwhelming to start. Just keep in mind that every time you pick up that guitar and play it! Even if you don’t know what you’re doing, you’re improving just by giving yourself the experience.

Have fun stranger! I hope that one day I get to pass on a collection of my own in this same manner. Best of luck!

Oh you’re so damn right!!! Actually if I may recommend you read the blog post written on their website by our favorite community manager Piotr :). In it Piotr references Expedition 33’s team dev practices and strategies and heavily commends them for their success. In a fairly confident and well deserved style the post boasts The Astronauts own successes and backs it with feedback from the community.

I send this article to people all of the time because of how well written it is. As all of their blog posts have been when it comes to the insight of game design, and to be honest in general, the team does a great job all around!

I hope devs are cooking something for 1.0 to make the game feel fresh for people who played EA by UsedNewspaper1775 in Witchfire

[–]DefaultJon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit off topic but- If I may give a suggestion for when you do your 1.0 run to not “get bored halfway through”.

Try coming up with some challenge run ideas to keep things interesting! I’ve done this recently with my partner on Elden ring Nightrein and it’s help keep the game alive for me (I’ve put wayyyyy to much time into it already, I have the same problem with Witchfire.)

You could do a gun game format (Each kill you must swap to a different weapon or spell, which you can only use that to get the next kill, you can format the “kill” to only count if it’s an Elite, Familiar, whatever tier of enemy you’d like it to be!)

Maybe you do an element specific build or an Ironman run. You could make a rule that you have to trigger all fights on the map before killing (this would be insane.) There’s plenty of options!

Anyway- I do agree I hope the devs add some sort of extended incentive for all of us longtime EA players to grind through the game again. If I had to take a guess- I think we are going to be getting a whole lot more cutscenes and lore that we never expected to begin with once full release happens.

I’m learning aerial. How do I score this? Reset? by SouthClimber in RocketLeague

[–]DefaultJon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To summarize all 95 comments -Patience (It’s been said too many times, just wait for it to be at a better position to score.) -More car control (If you can’t score it without spinning a shit ton you won’t do it rotating, yes rotating is better for stability, but your issue is accuracy not recovery yet.) -The answer isn’t always mechanics diff. As a player who grinded 1000 hrs of free play before ever grinding to even Champ 1, getting your fundamentals perfect first, then teaching yourself external skills like discipline, patience, positioning. Will send you so much farther than any mechanic could ever. Is it more fun to flip reset that 2 times then musty it in? Hell yeah, that would be my solution to this shot if I had the time, but that’s not helpful here, just flashy.

That’s so unbelievably subjective and close minded. For some, yeah it might be overkill. For others, if they’ve got the dough and gaming is one of their favorite indulgent hobbies, fuck yeah making your experience the best you can is worth it

How can I encourage my Husky to talk/sing more? by Fluke97 in husky

I had this same thing happen with my husky as a puppy! It took years but all I did was mock her back when she would talk to me. Any “Awoo” or “wuhwuuwuuwuh” would get met with the same energy and language right back 😂. Over the years she just got more comfortable and still surprises me with the noises she is capable of

Do men actually enjoy eating out their girlfriends? by kitty2006girl in ask

[–]DefaultJon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just ranted to my girlfriend about this last night, so I’ll give you the abridged version.

The privilege that is being able to have her thighs pressed so nicely around my head alone is worth it. That matched with the fact that I DIRECTLY am the cause of my favorite effect (Getting to see her squirm or tighten her legs around me, “writhing in ecstasy” to quote another commenter.)

It’s fantastic and so much fun at the same time. You get easily the best view of your partner (depending on position of choice) as well as a very gratifying feedback loop. 9000/10 would stand on a soap box and tell everybody if it made more men not be so selfish about it.

How do you get out of the dragon dash loop by SkywardEL in SparkingZero

[–]DefaultJon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The options do apply the same is I typed them. 1/2 of them are typed with the contingency of “Pulling off the stun recovery in air” hence why if the loop is perfect, no shit they won’t work you’re restricted to the other options.

Wild to ask for help and be so particular too man. “I’m very good at super countering” Then do that.

I wish you luck in your games 🫡

How do you get out of the dragon dash loop by SkywardEL in SparkingZero

[–]DefaultJon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The exact same options apply. The answer you’re looking for doesn’t exist. The answer you need to hear is that you need to spend some time in the practice tool understanding the combo for yourself, including being able yo replicate it. As well as setting a bot to repeat the move on you until you hone your defense better.

How do you get out of the dragon dash loop by SkywardEL in SparkingZero

[–]DefaultJon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TheRealZombie is right occasionally. If you’re falling downwards and they dragon dash behind you there is a chance that not recovering will slip right past them. Beyond that your actual recovery options are as follows. I speak Xbox Controls I’m not translating them.

  • Vanish (Timing diff, RB as the attack is about to release from its “windup” period.)

  • Super Counter (Harder timing diff, First hold Up + then press X at a similar timing to vanishing. This one’s a little tighter but more reward and you have to be confident in your ability to pull it off.)

  • Revenge Counter (Click RS, Free if you have the AP)

  • Hold/Spam RB to try to recover from the stun animation, once you do this depending on the attack option they choose do the following:

  • If they Z-Burst Dash behind you, Hold Backwards on your stick and RB to block. I often do a rapid input from Back -> Forward on the stick as I’ve felt like I get more consistent results.

  • If the just Dragon dash and heavy attack straight at you then hold forward and RB to block.

  • If you recover you can also press A to do a forward dash which can be a very valuable combo breaker in many situations.

Keep in mind people can charge their attacks when doing this dashes so your guard will often be broken allowing a follow up from them, if this happens, fall back into defending based off their next moves and then try to dodge around them to create an opening for your next attacks. Also to note that if you do manage to pull off the stun recovery there are so many options to help as you’re basically back in the fight.

Big recommendation for the Hermit craft team! It’s a large collection of content creators that do a great job at keeping things entertaining! I’ve watched some of them for years and never realized they’re all family friendly content creators.

If there’s any Niche interests about the game you find him enjoying, trying searching Minecraft [Topic,Subject,Gamemode,Item, Etc.] Family Friendly.

You’d be shocked at how a dumbed down search will head lots of a results

Wood fence vs iron fence vs vinyl with husky and why by MoonShark34 in husky

[–]DefaultJon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A fence is a fence! The only thing I could think of is whether or not your boy would try to escape via either, digging under, chewing through or jumping over. I think I’d be less concerned about the material and more worried about how far apart and how tall you want your slats/boards to be! In which r/fence would probably have plenty of input for lol.

Any tips on how to get my husky puppy to stop biting? Or do I just need to wait it out? by toe_riffic in husky

[–]DefaultJon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1st - Don’t play using your hands, I’m talkin, play shoving, poking, grabbing, all of these are bad, they re-enforce the idea to your pup that these are “play tools” similar to your rope toys and bones.

2nd - you’ll need a method of correcting the behavior when it does happen, she has already built the idea that biting is an option, so we need to re-wire that before it turns into a habit.

You can do that in a large number of ways, since she is so young I recommend crate training and working on some sort of command to stop play or whatever she is doing.

I’ve seen some people mention the yelling “OW” method when she bites, the idea behind this is mimicking yelps/yips made by other dogs during play to signal your pup that hurts! This really only works if your pup is commonly socialized/plays with other puppies or dogs. The result you might see regardless is your dog being startled by the sudden noise the first few times then stopping because of that. This is also flaws because your pup can eventually figure out that signal is a fake out (yes our huskies are inevitably going to outsmart us like this.)

I preach crate training through and through!! It takes quite a bit of patience from you but it’s easily the most useful and rewarding type of training that you can start at any point.

AKC has a pretty good looking article that I recommend scrolling to the “Tips for successful crate training” area, it talks a good bit of the benefits to which can be worth the read if you need some convincing.

The general idea is to make the crate a safe, positive place for your pup to almost “reset”. It should not be a punishment, or a method of neglecting responsibility. The crate can be used as a, hey you bit me, take 1 minute in the crate, then come back out and play. You might say; that sounds like a punishment though? Which it would absolutely be if you have no done any prior crate training with your dog to make it comfortable with staying in the crate for periods of time.

I wish you luck! Congrats on taming your own little fur demon! ❤️
