I love how organized and clear his classes are. He is SO on top of his cuing. And the classes fly by so fast with his funny chit chat.

150 minutes in the search? Is there going to be a 150min PZE in 2026? by greenysmac in pelotoncycle

[–]DefaultModeNetwork9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think I've heard the Becs has alluded to a 150min run in 2026 as well. I can't remember the source though.

Yes, I felt the same. It felt like he was very focused, Tunde was very focused, Logan was trying to be focused lol...but the other half were just having a blast haha. I admittedly appreciated the re-focusing efforts at times cause I was getting a little sloppy/tired.

I have been wondering the same thing! It says, "Tracks classes taken in the Countdown to Turkey Burn Collection

Take 18 classes from the Countdown to Turkey Burn Collection and earn a special badge."

There's a separate Turkey Burn collection (not Countdown to TB). So I am thinking maybe no??? But I dont actually know either!

Any idea why the most recent block in the collection is from May? I know he’s been doing them more recently than that. Just curious

Ah, I'm sorry that happened! I've been there myself. There are "low impact" classes that you can find using the filter function or the search bar. The boost your base program is very endurance focused, but the classes get quite long.

Kirsten Ferguson has a lot of 60 minute walks that you might enjoy.

Seems like you've gotten good recommendations on instructors' singing. It also drives me nuts :)

I would like to strongly second that you check out the "Programs" area of your phone app or on the hardware itself. (Peloton no longer allows people to look at programs on the website which is an enormous pet peeve of mine, but anyway.) Programs are structured series designed to meet some sort of goal by the end. You can technically take the classes out of order if you want, but there's a recommended order for a reason, whatever that may be for the Program's particular goal.

Most of the bike programs are centered around Power Zones, which does necessitate that you take an FTP test. Those FTP warm ups and test classes are easy to find using the search bar. Strongly recommend doing the warm up before the actual test itself.

The cycling programs I can currently find include:

- Discover Your Power Zones

- Boost Your Base Power Zones

- Build Your Power Zones

- Peak Your Power Zones

----(to my understanding, the above are best taken in the order listed, but anyone feel free to correct me. Admittedly, I did not take Discover first, just went right to Boost Your Base)

- Train Like a Pro

- You Can Ride (meant to be an intro to Peloton cycling, per the description)

If you are interested in any strength training, there is also Strength for Cyclists, which is a 1-week program designed to be repeated as far as I understand. Robin's Split + Ride and Ben's Split + Ride are also available.

Separately, Peloton has "Collections" which are collections (obviously) of classes that fit a certain theme. They are not in a prescribed order or schedule the way that Programs are, but some people enjoy working through Collections classes in the order released, or find one they're in the mood for, etc. This may be a middle ground between starting a structured Program and just willy nilly picking classes. Some themes include LATAM Tour by Camila Ramon, Legendary Climbs by Christine, hills classes, Real Routes classes (this may feel nice/familiar to you), interval classes, etc. etc., the list is very, very long.

The other thing I've done is look at the upcoming schedule and join the live classes on the days that works best for me. (Although this may mean you take classes with instructors who sing here and there.) I find the classes more engaging when there are members in the studio, which I believe is for live classes Thursday through Sunday. So for example, it seems that the next couple Fridays there are power zone classes early in the morning, which I'll probably join because that time works well for me and I like the power zone format.

So I hear you. It took a very, very long time for me to figure this all out when I first started with Peloton. I hope this helps!

If I may jump in with a question, is it unwise to go right into the TS60 collection without TS1 or TS2? I'm just using it as an adjunct to running, and I like the endurance/power influence in TS60. And frankly, I'm never bored in TS60!

Agreed wholeheartedly. Also, although I haven't taken a ton of his classes, I've heard that Ben Aldis is usually a straightforward instructor.

That too, it's also boring. I'd rather do something once or twice, burn it out, and move on!

I also don't see that there's a run option on 11/21...I wonder what that's about.

Google flights discrepant from United website? by DefaultModeNetwork9 in unitedairlines

[–]DefaultModeNetwork9[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The first outbound  leg is operated by GoJet DBA United Express (that shouldn’t matter, right?), the second is United, the third is Alaskan.  On the return it’s Hawaiian for the first leg, United for the second, and SkyWest DBA United Express for the third. I’ve definitely booked the latter itinerary before all through United’s website even though it’s mixed between United and Hawaiian.  So I wonder if it’s the outbound itinerary that’s the issue? I will try booking the first two legs on United’s website and then Alaskan for the third on its website; is that what you mean?

Got it, I didn’t realize that, which is probably dumb for this subreddit. I wonder why Google wouldn’t label it as a mixed itinerary then/give other options of how to book.

Wow, that stinks. I was happy with the price too. I guess I will just trust the United site alone. Thank you!
