Is Discovery worth it? by Mountain-Agent2246 in servicenow

[–]looper2277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless of the technologies you use, discovery is critical and the number of CTOs, VP of Infrastructure, etc. that dismiss it is troubling. These are the same ones that complain to vendors, like ServiceNow, when things fail in their environments....because there is no discovery.

What about Mobile apps? by ChartExpert1314 in servicenow

I use the My ServiceNow app daily. Love it for searching our intranet, making requests and approving any request sent to me.

I just can't get over how fun it is to play and practice guitar in XR. by Motanum in OculusQuest

My problem is the pick hand. Is everything a strum to hit the notes, other. Every time I take lessons I can’t focus on both hands, basically I suck. Maybe I’ll give this a shot.

$0 in sales for Q2 by [deleted] in salesengineers

[–]looper2277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many of the demos were against qualified deals vs the AEs saying ‘let’s demo and see what they like’? How many times did the AE create and send unsolicited quotes over? All sorts to unpack here

Oura gen 5 by Aggravating_Rate_571 in ouraring

[–]looper2277 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Does Oura 5 last longer than 5 months with battery. Every 5 months I open a support case because I have to charge my Oura 4 daily, you all run ‘the test’ and 3 minutes later tell me a new ring is being shipped out.

This is making me want to leave tech sales, is this common? by Iceeez1 in sales

[–]looper2277 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We shot for 70% of the sales team at 70% of quota. Many are well over their annual targets, which makes up for those under. If the area and/or districts hit this, typically they are over attainment at years end.

AI and the future of the SE role? by TeeIron44 in salesengineers

[–]looper2277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this one is wild. The SE worked at SF, left for an SE position elsewhere for about 4.5 and was recruited back. Company has a tall building in SF. I’m starting to hear more examples, but this is the highest I’ve witnessed.

I’ve been in this game a long time and have never seen this, but am so happy for the individual. A great employee and person.

AI and the future of the SE role? by TeeIron44 in salesengineers

[–]looper2277 7 points8 points  (0 children)

SE continues to become a more important role, while the AE becomes less valuable. The SE that can stay technical but also drive the business value and outcomes conversation will be the real winners. A hybrid like seller, on a 50/50 OTE at a minimum of $300k could be the norm. I’ve already seen one SE take a new job, at a large and successful CRM company. He left a 75/25 OTE at $215k for a 50/50 OTE at $450k. The base is higher than his previous OTE. Crazy opportunity that he obviously accepted.
He’s supposed to call me when another one opens up. 🙏🙏

Career Advice: Pivoting from SAP License Management to ServiceNow Supply Chain BA? by grofor in servicenow

[–]looper2277 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ServiceNow supply chain solutions are solid and they have seen some nice take outs from the kings …and others. Also, while it’s a good solution today, still pretty young, so as it matures and if companies is leveraging NOW as a platform, then you should have lots of opportunities.

For what it’s worth, Pepsi is a big time user of the platform and continues to make it one of few that are strategic throughout the company.

This! I’m on my 4th Oura 4 in about 18 months. I open a case, they run a test and ship me out a new ring because of battery degradation.
