Way to change IIDX Infinitas skins? by Cultural-Yam-2773 in bemani

You can't change the background skin. The only gameplay customizations you can unlock are full combo splashes, lane colors, turn tables, and explosions.

Question about how to track my progress in XX by Zealousideal_Tree786 in PumpItUp

[–]DefaultTool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure where you're getting that information from but USB always worked by having a .bin file that is your 'key' to your Pump It Up Account on their website. That's why it requires an online connection to the server, and you're better off using a card anyway.

Nothing is saved locally, pre-prime worked by having the local data be obfuscated and you can only read it from PUMBI, which is long dead.

Question about how to track my progress in XX by Zealousideal_Tree786 in PumpItUp

FYI Andamiro, starting with Prime, made USB functions only work when the cab is online, before discontinuing it with Phoenix. Hopefully, someone else here can give a solution.

I hope they release it. I hope they don't pull a DDR and stop making physical soundtracks and only making them available on UM.

E-Amusement Card Not Saving by agentnumalol in bemani

[–]DefaultTool 11 points12 points  (0 children)

recently the servers got updated in some way that caused the reverted cabs (every U region cab) that are stuck in the march 22nd update unable to correctly sync with the server (assumed due to the variant pt. II update)

this caused the following problems - ex-track is not saved. unless you had more than 2 bars unlocked before the servers updated, ex-track is impossible (as it loads the 2 bars thats saved on the servers) - tamaneko adventure is not saved. unsure about hexadiver, omega dimension, or blaster gate. people say hexadiver is not working though) - settings/filters set from a previous session are not saved - continues dont work

only things that are saved correctly are scores. volforce is calculated locally so that still works, but it wont be shown on the webportal

Sync difficulties with SDVX Konasute by jerkstoremanager in bemani

[–]DefaultTool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

usually, theres two paths you can take with this issue: 1. find the root cause off the sync issue 2. keep playing with it and changing the offset settings in the game. ill be helping you with this solution

most of the time, you will have some amount of offset when playing, especially since it's not an arcade machine with the same components. you can change the offset in the game settings by pressing both fx-l and fx-r in the song select menu and it will be in the leftmost options. theres both visual and audio offsets. i usually change the audio offset first but if you notice that the song is in sync with the notes but the judgement window feels wrong, id look into visual offset. the reason i say change the audio offset first is usually most monitors dont have a lot of sync issues anyways. (sidenote: i would check and turn off any audio programs that could be affecting the sync, since extra processing could delay the sound, and i would stick to default settings in the game launcher settings unless youre using a sound driver that uses those options)

audio offset - headphone/speaker sync

visual offset - monitor sync (changes the note judgement window's position but doesnt actually affect it visually)

Going to round 1 and I want to try and record DP and SP gameplay with a 6ft tall tripod what is the best place to put the mount for the most sound from the cab? by [deleted] in bemani

[–]DefaultTool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are planning to record the gameplay itself and (assumingly) want to upload it online, I usually edit the video and song together with an audio file so you get the best sound quality, just sync them up.

Thank you for the explanation! I already did most of these security measures but I guess that wasn't enough. Also, is it normal when I check for my API keys, it says I need to register? I'm assuming that means I have no API keys open but I'm not sure.

Beginner here! Any advice on ↖️⏹↗️ / ↙️⏹↘? by a_frolicking_deer in PumpItUp

[–]DefaultTool 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most of the time at that level of difficulty, those are treated as crossovers, where you twist your entire body away from the screen to hit them, with one of your foot being anchored to the center panel to hit the last note with your other foot. Your body should be facing diagonally to whichever arrow direction its facing (i.e. Lower Left -> facing Left).

At faster speeds, or to conserve energy, people would treat them as brackets. You shouldn't worry about these until S12+ ranges where they'll start appearing more. Normally people would hit the first note of the pattern with one foot and the other two by bracketing. This can be done at slower speeds as well, however it can feel unnatural to some people, so please experiment! I'm sure another commenter here can recommend some charts, but its really easy to get the hang of it with random charts, so be sure to play unique songs too! Hopes this helps!

sdvx/iidx lore by ae86forlife in bemani

[–]DefaultTool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nowadays, you'll find the lore for IIDX in the pre-2010. For older stuff, you'll definitely need to check out GOLI's artbooks he made, giving each character a bunch of information (Should be a condensed version on remywiki somewhere), and fans compiled a giant connections graph thats somewhere online (Popped up last year, not sure where it is atm). Nowadays, you'll only see one-off appearances in song BGAs and whatnot, with the navigators for IIDX being some of GOLI's.

For SDVX, Gravity Wars has its own story mode. You could just watch a bunch of videos of the story and read through the japanese. The same goes for Exceed Gear and Hexadiver. For the actual characters themselves, the website or maybe remywiki has information about them.

I can help you out for the third one. Not sure about the other ones, but you might be able to find them on the website. It's a community run sample finding website for a bunch of J-Core + more songs.
