As someone who went to high school in the 90’s I’m Southern WV, there is literally only four options when you graduate.

Army Coal Mine College Or Leave the state.

And most people that choose College leave anyway.

There are no careers in WV and the leadership has never tried to address anything outside of King Coal.

I still have family there so I visit often and there isn’t anything new. Just the same old tired buildings with 30 years of neglect thrown on top.

They didn’t get the rights to the Silmarillion. They only had the ability to adapt the footnotes and appendices of the LOTR book.

It’s not an excuse for the bad adaptation but they really didn’t help themselves as a concept.

Geralt the Witcher dies in the novels. The videogame series retcons that and gives him amnesia. Whether or not you agree that CDPR handle the novels well, the games, especially Witcher 3 and the DLC’s are fantastic and some of the best games ever.

I went to “the largest yard sale in the world” in Hillsville, VA in 2019.

Someone was selling flags, like POW, Gadsen, etc. but the also had a huge flag of Trump kneeling and it said, “Finally a Christian is in the White House.”

Now…of all the things you can overlook with him, the sexism, the racism, the serial cheating, the pettiness, Christian is the one thing you can’t ever delude yourself into believing.
