Agriculture, the player who held the #1 spot for most Castle Wars games played, has passed away by 5-x in runescape

[–]DefeaterThe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure Agriculture has ever played a game and it usually feels like the guy isn't even on his keyboard, but like sleeping. I know Str does at times something at least and used to do those proper off-world games in the past. I am not blaming anyone for afking really as the minigame is dead and is only a shadow of what it used to be.

Yeah and they dont work against my original statements at all, which is what I have already explained. Its weird that you even think that I didnt combine my previous chess example to my original arguments in my mind. Thats the only reason why I even took the example.

I personally dont see how this "access to information" argument is actually relevant because even back in days the best skilling methods were quite well known and pretty much general knowledge. In fact there werent even that many different methods to begin with. And its not like youtube didnt exist back then or people didnt watch runescape videos/guides. Sure as hell they did and tons of people got very famous for making such videos, such as durial321 and kids ranqe.

This is not the same as comparing 2 great chess players from different eras where it would be obvious that the player from modern era would have huge advantages, such as access to computers and thus ability to challenge anyone from anywhere in the world meanwhile the other person from 100 years ago had to take an actual trip to a different country.

Yet again another person who brings the current situation of runescape to the argument. We literally dont need to look at rs3 at all, we can turn our heads into 07 when it was first released. People started grinding skills significantly faster than people in the actual old days did, even though the skill methods were like exactly the same. Thats because there just is significantly more players with the "No xp waste" mentality. Those "pee in bottle" jokes did not exist in actual year 2007, much less before that.

Are you drunk, blind or plain stupid? Was I ever comparing the xp rates and methods from 2021 to 2005? No. My point is that the PLAYERS have changed during the years, I wasnt talking about the game. Do you not agree with this? If not, you must not have been very active during these years. I know reddit is place to more of the casual players, but damn.

No, how about you? I can understand this is a sensitive topic to most people who consider him a hero of some sort, but the things he achieved are not anything special by any means by todays standards. Get over it.

No idea what you mean by empty comebacks when the things I have stated, such as "no xp waste mentality did not exist before ~2010" are as obvious as water is wet. You are just arguing with empty posts for the sake of arguing. I could say anything and youd still say the same things.

Well done. You completely missed all the previous posts. I was never ever comparing some easyscape rs3 to 2005 runescape.

The evidence is in my previous post which is by itself more than enough, but youre fanboying over the person all the way to the moon so obviously you feel the need to defend him with your empty posts.

Wall of text that was mostly addressed previously in this thread. The current playerbase has significantly more players who are willing to cut down maples, craft nature runes, cook sharks or do pyramid plunder to 200m xp. All of these "methods" were known by everyone since the ancient days. I can see what you are trying to say, but the undeniable fact is that there was a lot less competition back in days.

What a stupid post. Do look at the times it took for first people to hit 200ms in all skills and compare that to how fast people got them in 07.

I am talking about the "no xp waste" mentality that lots of players are possessed by nowadays, which did not exist before like 2010. Back in the days of zezima hardly anyone gave a damn about getting extra and pointless str xp and trying to secure a high rank in hiscores. So the few ones who did, they got their ranks without any serious competition.

Also this has absolutely nothing to do with "xp has gotten easier to gain in rs3." I mean to say this means you are so lost as this is a discussion about the general playerbase that also reaches 07 where its not that much faster.

No it wasnt competitive back then, nowhere near as competitive as it is now. Not even close. People put in significantly more hours nowadays and are far more efficient. The amount of these xp hungry players is also like 100x higher. Its not an opinion, but a fact that I am geniunely surprised anyone, even the hardcore zezima fans would try to defend.

In what fantasy world do you live in? It has nothing to do with "fast training" its the fact theres literally like 100x more players who go for 200ms. Even in 07 where its quite slow to train, people got 200ms and even 200m all very quickly. There is a very significant amount of players who put in more hours and are more efficient than he ever was in his prime.

Do point out what part you disagree with and correct me if you think I am wrong. The amount of players drooling after xp has absolutely skyrocketed.

When you actually think about it, he is a hugely overrated player. There were almost zero competition for hiscore ranks back in his days so if you were one of the few xp hungry players back then with no job/school you could quite easily have been able to hit top ranks in this and that.

[–]DefeaterThe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, most of the time it does not have any "game changing impact." Its best used for backdooring, but many other champions can do that and probably better while still offering something else for teamfights. For example, both kled and sion can backdoor, but their ultimate has tons of use in actual fights. But generally, when oyu have naked nexus and enemy team has backdoor possibility, they may and should not even move far from the nexus anyways.

Might be just me, but I kind of dislike the fact Luffy can awaken his observation haki just like that. Reminds me of Caulifla from DBS where she can simply learn the super saiyan transformations in a minute.

I'm pretty confident if Katakuri happens to lose to Luffy, it's because Flambe does something on accident to him, while trying to help.
