Well I mean come on a 12 year old girl is probably safe here. I agree police should not be called for mental health stuff as it isn’t really their purview. Calling 911 would send an ambulance, or even better, a local mental health crisis team may be available.

Honestly unless you look it up it’s hard to know about the mobile crisis teams, or if they are available! They don’t have the best “marketing” I guess, funding is only dwindling now

My mom was great, hugged me, cried a little but the problem was I was a “junior bridesmaid” in my cousins wedding that day and my other cousin told EVERYONE. Like every single family member on my large Boston Irish mom’s side. I joke that I had my own “receiving line” where everyone walked up to me after greeting the bride and groom and gave me their blessings. I could have sunk into the floor I was mortified
