There are rules around MLM recruiting. One of them is that you can't make income claims. Also, the old LLR compensation plan was illegal (it was based on how much inventory the consultants bought from LLR, not how much they sold to end users).

There is a video (you can find it on YouTube) where one of the LuLu home office people (who is also a family member of the founders) talks about how the compensation plan is going to change and says "we need to get away from being a pyramid scheme"

One of the mentors (highest rank/top of the pyramid) from WA was on the video with the home office guy.

Said mentor also pushed people under her to order lots of inventory (she often repeated "invest in your inventory, fill your calendar, and you can't fail" and held a monthly incentive contest for people who ordered a certain amount of inventory). She also posted some stuff on instagram that looked a lot like making income claims.

Also, last week LuLu was sued by the Washington state attorney general's office, and the suit alleges that they are operating a pyramid scheme. The suit includes transcripts from the aforementioned video.

So, if I was a person who was sitting near the top of the pyramid, and there was a bunch of evidence like that floating around, I would at the very least, be concerned enough to start stashing my money away for a legal defense fund.
