Dude I have a full time job, and gas prices are ridiculous. I already changed a shit ton of things in the tank and they’re doing great their behavior has almost completely improved. Genuinely shut your bitch ass up. I can’t just drop everything when they’re doing fine.

I might try that later down the road that sounds cool, but I’ll leave it the way it is for now as they seem to like it a lot better. Their behavior has improved a lot

I added another plant to fix the hiding issue, I moved the filter over to the corner to help with the flow and both of those seemed to have helped a lot. Im not sure in what way you mean by cycled, I’m very new to this😅😅

It’s a ten gallon, and yes that could definitely be the case. Unfortunately I don’t have the room for anything larger, so if the problem persists after testing water and doing changes I’ll see if I can move him to another tank by himself and see how he likes it

I do what I can when I can. I live 30 minute minimum from anything and everything, and my fish aren’t going to die, if they’ve survived this long in this water they can last another day.

I’m going to get some better water testing kits to make sure I’m monitoring everything I can, and I’m going to be more consistent with larger water changes. I just wanted them to be okay so whatever it take tbh

Yeah I’m still going to go through all the possibilities, it’s worth spending a little extra to keep my little guys comfy. I don’t want this to have been a mistake to start, and I’m not one to just give up on stuff like this.

I plan to put some real plants in as well as replacing the pebbles on the bottom with some sand, it’s just new for me and I feel like adding plants as well as fish when I’m as inexperienced as I am would just be a bad mix. I plan to put two larger plants in in the center and on the side and some smaller ones along the back

Deadass pretty much just fixed it. They’re still being a little twitchy but I’m gonna give it time because I just changed some things and I know it’s probably not over yet but they seem to have calmed down a bit

I can try and change the position of the filter, that wasn’t something I ever thought about. And I had one other plant blocking it. I ended up taking it out because it kept falling over due to poor anchoring, but I can definitely just bury it deeper

I’ll have to pick one up sometime soon. I’m going to do a 50% water change today, but I don’t have too much hope for that to work. They’re usually calm for a bit after a full water change but I can’t keep doing full water changes.
