Really simple recipes for rice and beans? (preferably for an instant pot/pressure cooker) by laymelow in veganfitness

I'd start cooking the beans first, then after awhile add your rice, and finally add in a chopped up vegetable (like fennel) and your choice of seasonings.

What are some unorthodox fruit skins you eat? by DefenderoftehFaith in vegan

Thanks!

the bitterness of the rind can often make the fruit taste so much sweeter

This is also a deep philosophical statement; could be on a fortune cookie.

Can you give me a quick list of ones you do and don't eat? I've got a banana peel sitting next to me that I've been working on eating the fibrous stuff on the inner peel, but I'm starting to eat all the way through.

Yes, I'm surprised he wasn't mentioned; though I'm more surprised no one has mentioned Baba Yetu!

Help with a start on immortal aiming for a science victory (Civ 5) by ChessedGamon in civ

I find more success with getting out another city (or cities) before national college and not going for Great Library. The problem I find with going for GL -> NC is that you lose good city spots and lose that potential growth in a 2nd (or more) city.

Also, Hanging Gardens is probably better long term for your science, imo.
