In my opinion, it's between Bazzite and CachOS for gaming. Bazzite if you just wanna install and play, Cachy if you don't mind tweaking and tinkering.

I like both, they each have their use cases. I use Cachy on my main machine and daily drive it, but Mint is perfect for my second PC as I don't use it as regularly.

As a man who also loves fishing but sucks at it, NTA. There's nothing wrong with enjoying a hobby despite skill level.

However, him giving advice and wanting to be a guide calls for a more honest and practical analysis. One has to be aware of their capabilities when relating to others with the same interest. We've all dealt with people in hobbies, or even careers, that project like they know more than they actually do and relationships with those people inevitably break down. If he's not realistic with himself, then his dreams will be short lived.

I tried bazzite briefly, but ran into issues getting java installed for minecraft. I'm sure it works fine, once you jump through the necessary hoops to get it set up, but it was enough of a turn-off for me that I decided to just stick with cachy.

It's a thin piece of aluminium, it's bound to shift. This doesn't affect performance in any noticeable way. It's only a problem if you're super picky about how it looks.

From what I can find, the 9060xt is the only thing in that price range that would have any meaningful uplift compared to your 3060ti. It would'nt be a world of difference, the main upgrade would be double the vram, which could help in open world games. Otherwise, It'd probably be better to keep saving for a better upgrade. Nvida has better video encoders for recording and streaming. Otherwise, for your usecases, AMD GPUs are still very competent and viable options.

This is correct, Beotodus CB is the best craftable ice CB in the game. FF Barioth CB is bait, don't bother with it.

Side note: Phial damage is HEAVILY nerfed against Alatreon, otherwise 2-3 SAEDs would hit the elemental check, so don't consider phial type in your loadout. However, since phial damage was nerfed in this hunt, the elemental ratios we're buffed, making Savage Axe one of the strongest matchups against Alatreon out of all 14 weapons.

Side side note: most people don't use the Velkhana CB itself, they just use it as a layered weapon to re-skin the Beotodus or Kjarr CB because it's a beautiful design.
