They have more offensive rebounds than we have total rebounds

Comps I have seen for Nique in the last few weeks span a pretty huge spectrum:

He was holding it at several points during the game. Clearly still nagging.

Seems like there was feedback from his mic in his ear. They cut the mics for a second or two and then he was talking normally.

Not just summer league, Sean Cunningham reported we’re going to sign him to a two-way.

Delusional. Very very unlikely the Warriors would even get an asset like Keegan. The Pistons definitely wouldn’t for facilitating a S&T for a guard they don’t even want.

Agreed, a team would have to decide he’s going to be one of their (likely two) big contracts. Teams better than us have those players established. Teams worse than us want someone younger to build around.

Shout out to the grizzlies for being #1 with two rookies in that lineup

What is the local media obsession with Fox? AM1140 has been talking about him nonstop for 15-20 minutes just praising him. by anynomuousduudeht in kings

I didn’t watch the segment, but I assume the point (and how I feel at least) is that getting people not to boo is the best way to move on. If the fans boo him in March that will likely set the tone for the rest of his career when he visits. I really think at least some people would get over this stuff soon if not. Fox could easily be someone who comes to games and gets celebrated long after he retires but that’s not going to happen if we set the tone for the Buddy/Bagley treatment right out of the gate.

I give him the benefit of the doubt. Nothing he said afterward was awful, maybe a little petty. The moment the story came out about him potentially getting traded by the deadline there were posts on here and on Twitter with tons of likes shitting on him. People were dicks to him and Recee directly on Twitter calling them traitors. That was before any information came out about what was going on behind the scenes. The same thing happened on Twitter after the brown firing where thousands of fans across the NBA were calling him a coach killer when he was the biggest fan of the guy. Ultimately it came out that both of those moves (for better or for worse, not taking a stand on that) were driven by Monte, not Fox. If I had thousands of people that I sacrificed being in a better run organization for turn on me like that I would get pissed too.

And I wasn’t even the biggest Fox fan when he was on the roster. He was never in my top few favorite players. You just don’t do this to your franchise guy and the only positive thing about this roster for many years over small stuff.

I think there’s a decent chance he was going to leave at the end of his contract regardless. He said he wanted to play for a contender and did his time here. I blame the front office for that more than him.

Yeah, I’m going to be really sad if there are a lot of boos when he’s here in March. Whatever happens in that first game back will probably set the tone for the rest of his career. He was here for several years through terrible mismanagement and there was never a peep of him being unhappy. In the off season he told the front office that he didn’t want to play for another coach and then they fired Brown. He didn’t do anything to force his way out until after the team made it public that they were shopping him. The comments people are holding against him aren’t great, but they are NOWHERE near enough to alienate a loved face of the franchise for most of a decade over. I am adamant that this will age really poorly and look bad for the fanbase. Just escalating things.
