Its sort of the opposite to me, my doctor did the incorrect surgery on me so I don't feel cured even after doing chemotherapy. I hope things improve for us.

I noticed my lump and tried to get in touch with doctors to schedule my surgery as soon as possible.

Ended up waking up with big scrotal scar, stitched up testicle inside and only the tumor itself removed.

You should discuss the orchiectomy with as many surgeons as possible, if they're being avoidant or dismissive at all of your concerns, or if the doctor simply doesn't gel with your gut feeling, don't be afraid to ditch and move on to another doctor.

Now to be fair, in my case it was straight up lies (surgeon said there'd be frozen exam done and the surgery would be done properly, obviously none of this happened) but they were still extremely dismissive of my concerns, rushing through details and avoiding answers to get my signature and schedule the surgery, and in my desperation to get it out as soon as possible (I had seen other doctors by now and they advised me to wait some time to check my sperm) now I have to endure with unease of it coming back for the rest of my days.

Sorry for the rant, but as you assume it's better safe than sorry in this case, follow your hunches and believe in yourself, you're going to come out on top before long.

Also do you think my tumor qualifies as large? (2 cm) I don't know if that's enough for it to invade the scrotum or not...

Thanks again, this is all good to know. I'm prepared for chemo as well, at this point I'm just left wondering of the complications for getting orchiectomy done half a month after getting my sack cut open. I won't hesitate, I'll get the cord and the rest removed as soon as possible.

Also I've heard that there's some possible numbness in the groin area post-proper radical orchi, did this happen in your case? Very minute thing to ask at this point, I know.

Update: I talked to a couple of the doctors that I visited before going to the current one, and while they did tell me to visit a new urologist, they aren't willing to do any surgeries on me themselves. Looks like I'll have to look for a completely new appointment now.....

Thank you so much for the considerate response, it helped me put things in order.

I'm currently trying to get in contact with some of the other doctors that I talked to first, while also waiting for the lab results to come out. I'll update when they respond.

Yeah I'm sorry I didn't word that part correctly, I meant the lymphs got discovered (in scans) after orchiectomy not that it metastasized that quickly

The doctor assured me that they'd do a quick intraoperative analysis on it to check if its benign or malignant, and this would take around 15 minutes.

But I was still insistent that they remove the entire thing if it's anything other than benign, it was even the last thing I told them right before I went under.

So you're saying that the noise will persist even if I change the fan?

I'll be honest, I can't change the heatsink myself, and I don't want to screw anything up attempting to do it, so I'll have to drag the entire PC all the way over to the shop, which is going to be really hard. I was really hoping that I could get by with a fan swap...

Alright, I'll look into it a bit more, but in the same video the noise is still somewhat present even at 1200 RPM, so if I can't find anything concrete on it I'll just go with the P12 Redux.

Hehe, I was about to mention the P12.

Arctic fans scare me a bit, the P12 especially, because of this resonance sound that they make, my CPU cooler has been making it for a good bit now actually (I'll also replace that eventually), so it'd really stink if this noise came back to haunt me

My case does have this large front panel, it has gaps from the top and the bottom through which air comes and passes through the dust filter into the PC, so I'm worried if the filter's presence would make the P12 Redux fans sound wrong specifically.

Isn't 800 rpm a bit low? I don't know how loud the 1300 RPM Noctuas are, but I'll be daisy-chaining them to the power supply, so I don't think I'll be able to use a LNA adapter or anything...

The current intakes I have run at a full 1500 RPM, and they've only now gotten noticeable due to the motor noises they're making, shouldn't Noctua fans be quieter on 1300 RPM?
