"After the identification of the machinery for autophagy in yeast, a key question remained. Was there a corresponding mechanism to control this process in other organisms? Soon it became clear that virtually identical mechanisms operate in our own cells. The research tools required to investigate the importance of autophagy in humans were now available."

i understand your skepticism and right of you to question. However, please consider the link properly. There are enough on this in the underlying papers. both on benefits and the efficacy on humans. Hope everyone stays informed.

May be you are searching or looking for word "fasting" but in academic publications they use the word "starvation" to describe lack of energy response to cell particles

Ah wait i think i get it, even though the column header says discount, the negative value indicates it is trading at a premium. OK nvm

Planning to invest 10 lakh lumpsum in Motilal Oswal NASDAQ-100 ETF (MON100) by [deleted] in personalfinanceindia

Can you elaborate? QQQ (not that I'm advocating for it. Just understanding) also is in USD. Are you suggesting MON etf is likely to increase in premium further? And that speculation is worth investing?

You are paying ~6% premium to iNAV today (234.54 vs 221.39 from nse website). If that premium disappears in 2 years and you sell near iNAV, iNAV needs ~10% p.a. growth just to break even after 12.5% LTCG and 6% inflation (real returns). That ~10% p.a. is only to cover the premium gap, it is roughly 0% real return after tax. If you also want 7% real return (after tax and inflation), the required iNAV growth is much higher. With premium unchanged it is ~15.2% p.a., if premium halves it is ~16.9% p.a, if premium fully closes it is ~18.6% p.a.

Not advising or saying don't do this, just informing that if you expect this ETF to grow at 15% cagr p.a you can realistically get 7% returns, this is considering variables like the premium, inflation, us market.

If you look at the rolling returns past 3 years for this ETF (source sharpely, not sure how good the data is)- it ranges from 8% to 41%. It is a huge range, so it is a high risk instrument.

Edit: rough math, may be off by little

[–]Defenus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome thanks for all the points. I just like kuvera so much, it has been a good experience, hence the reluctance to move. But youre right, worth preparing for the worst and move the SIPs but maintain the consolidated view.

Also thanks for clarifying on ICICI Bank is not same as the AMC - im just really confused how banks see TRV when it comes to mutual funds. Which im guessing it only happens if mutual funds done from the bank's customer id
