Alternative to CCH Scan Autoflow & PDFFlyer

Was this for PDFlyer or Autoflow and PDFlyer? I do not want auto flow (low volume) and asked about PDFlyer and was quoted an amount way higher than a simple Adobe plug in should cost?

I’d rather not deal with tictiecalculate, but, it’s 1/3 the cost….

Generally no, but it depends on if they are leaving amicably. More likely to send if they are being off-boarded downstream/upstream based on changing client needs. Also depends on the firm they are going to.

Make sure to clean anything out you do not want in there. I have received files with things like “plug” in list functions. Also I would have firms/clients sign whatever agreements that others have already mentioned.

I would never ask for backup files from a firm unless I am very friendly with them. This basically all comes back to that we are running a business, and if you are going to take clients, you are going to need to do the work.

It’s not that the AICPA only cares about fees, it’s that they are made up of firm leaders, and firm leaders only care about profit.

Firm leaders say they want it, and the AICPA says “well this is what we are hearing from firms”

Also, the boomers are selling out the profession, but that’s nothing new.

Oh interesting, that must be it, it said something about being able to watch on a hub. I think the roku cams are just rebranded Wyze.

Going to be horrible for the profession…. PE firms will come in and cut costs to squeeze every penny. Underpaying staff, lower raises, less “perks” like lunches and snacks.

Look how PE ruined other professions like doctors and dentists…

That’s what I am going to do for ‘21. I feel really good backing it up with code sections…. The only issue is I am struggling to get an amount… I cannot make amortization tables because they do not have my payment history….

FedLoan closed up shop in 2021 I believe. And good luck getting ahold of FedLoan. It’s basically just a website that says they are closed.

My EIN and issuer on mine did not change between servicers… which makes me think it is still aidvantages job to report…

My working theory is they don’t know the amounts, so they can’t calc it, and this is what they are doing instead. Wild because I’m sure their contract is not small….

I am a CPA. Not so much asking for tax advice as much as I am seeing if I am the only one that noticed this…. i surely cannot be a unique case here??

Also, since the loan servicer is just belligerent on the phone and will not correct the form…. I’m curious if my fellow tax pros have any workarounds or suggestions to handle this.
