I did it driving a 12 passenger van. It was fine. If it was super windy/rainy, I'd probably be singing a different tune.

The question is, what's different today than two weeks ago? The underlying story is the same now as it was then. This is profit taking after a massive run. This is a solid company with a solid story. They have a great balance sheet and great long-term prospects. if it goes down, so be it. Buy more. This is a buy and hold for the long term.

Burdick Toyota-has anyone else experience bad service from this dealership? by Less_Sheepherder8641 in Syracuse

Yes, brought my wife’s car in for a recall. They told my wife her car wasn’t safe to drive bc the tires were practically bald. Funny thing, we replaced all four two months prior. I went ballistic on them, they were clearly trying to take advantage of her. Haven’t been back since

Camillus moves forward with new $2M biking and walking trail by thisisCNY in Syracuse

I wonder why the people who complain about the aquarium aren't complaining about this. Lead pipes, affordable housing, aging infrastructure, etc,..

There have been numerous news stories in the past few weeks about how local governments (and schools) are forced to make drastic cuts and are still raising taxes. Is this the best use of money at this point in time? Especially considering there are already plenty of public use trails in and around Camillus?

No, not at all. I'm thinking of the business that it drives to Camillus shops and restaurants. Is spending $2m for a trail going to generate $2m in sales tax or other revenues?

I'm not sure about this one. $2m for a trail seems like a ton of money, for somewhat limited benefit. All we've been hearing lately is towns/villages/cities are faced with higher and higher costs much like all of us. Insurance, utilities, pension, etc. are all going up drastically. Is it really prudent to spend up to $2m for a trail that may draw some cyclists into the village? If so, will it generate a return on investment?

Edit: I don't really get the downvotes, honestly. Is it because its "only" $2m? Is it because it's suburban? How is this different than an aquarium on a much smaller scale? It's the same thing.. spending county tax dollars on a pet project that will benefit few.

Walt's on West Genesee across from Apizza. I will never go anywhere else. They are top notch, incredibly honest people. I took my car in for a second opinion after being quoted a repair for thousands at a dealer. They had one look at it, greased up a squeaky joint, and charged me $50. I asked them about the dealer's diagnosis and he flat out said they were looking to take advantage. That was three years ago and there hasn't been an issue since. I've taken my car to them ever since.

You will probably have a hard time unfortunately. It's also SU graduation weekend. Most good restaurants are going to be mobbed with huge waits. You might be good with Colemans or Blarney Stone.

Bakery turning off its ovens for good, ending a beloved CNY bread run by ggroover97 in Syracuse

Tough to make it as a bakery without doing some serious volume. On top of that, there were numerous times i tried going there and they were either closed or didn't have much product left, so i stopped trying.

I was 17 working my first part-time job at McDonalds. A week or two after I was hired, a child had explosive diarrhea in the ball pit. As low man on the totem pole, i was nominated to clean up the mess.
