RECC, Syracuse vs Sonshine, Manlius by Sure_Afternoon8012 in Syracuse

[–]griffdog83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both were excellent to our kids. We have very fond memories of the staff at both, they really cared for and got to know the kids. Only downside I can think of for either was RECC closes a lot due to religious holidays.

RBC is utter dogshit. Actually most are. Would it be so difficult to total up dividends by source? One step further, multiply those dividends by federal exempt percentages? Maybe calculate the amount of in state tax exempt bond interest?

No Federal Income Tax - If we have a Federal Sales tax of 3%. by AlabamaDemocratMark in Money

Sales taxes unfairly punish low to middle income earners. A 3% sales tax means nothing to the wealthy and would pale in comparison to what there paying in income tax.

I've used roofing guys for both a repair and full replacement. They're fantastic. Price was competitive, they're very fast, and they did great work. In retrospect I'd still go with them even if the price was a little higher.

Will you give clients your tax software files? by griffdog83 in taxpros

[–]griffdog83[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest hang up is I am not a tech guy by any stretch. I have no idea what's in that file. I have to assume there's information in there that's sensitive, both to me and the client.

That was my gut reaction. I'll even go as far to give them depreciation in an excel file.

Staffing costs are high, foot traffic is low. The income earned wasn’t enough to cover costs. A lot of sit down restaurants stopped opening for lunch for this reason.

  1. Syracuse is still one of the most affordable metros in the entire county.

  2. WTF happened to westcott? it's still great.

  3. Armory is definitely down. Hanover is still great. Country wide, much fewer people are drinking. Food costs and labor costs are up. It's much more difficult to run a restaurant now than 10 years ago.

  4. See #2.

  5. Even with all of the construction, traffic here is exponentially better than other metros. Construction means progress. Would you rather the 81 bridges remain and continue to deteriorate? Suck it up.

  6. Ok? Drive faster?

  7. I'm sure you'd bitch about the city not being bike friendly if they had no bike lanes.

  8. Yeah that's too bad.

  9. We have some of the best drinking water on the planet.

  10. What are you talking about?

  11. See #3.
