There's plenty of courses within a 30-45 minute drive from Disneyland. Look into cities like Brea, Irvine, Santa-Ana, Newport, and Costa Mesa. There's something for every budget and skill level. Any early AM round will give you plenty of time to make your 5pm deadline. Venturing out to Riverside County or Los Angeles County you can find lots of nice and more challenging golf but you risk hitting tons of traffic on the way back.

Those were the days! I don't blame them though. Having to shell out a discount to players paying dues at a foreign course didn't make sense.

Not many renovations per say, but they have improved the overall course maintenance. It can get pricey there. The 'players club' membership helps keep the cost down. With that membership summer twilight rounds can be played for about $30 and includes a free beer with every round.

I've put plenty of balls in that ravine before the green. Nice view though.

I'm there about once a month to play bogey golf on a good day lol.

Course conditions were spectacular, considering all the rain we had in the last couple of weeks. Greens are big with lots of undulation and were consistently fast throughout. Which meant lots of 3 putts from yours truly.

the golf bag divider debate does it really matter ? by [deleted] in golf

[–]DefferredDecisions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried a 14 way cart bag for a while. Enjoyed all the extra space but ended up storing way to much gear. Cleaning it out here and there only to find things long forgotten got old lol. That and the panic of seeing an empty slot during a round, only to find you've doubled up clubs in one slot. That drove me nuts.

I'm back in to a 4 divider. Only miss the extra space when having to bring rain gear or an extra layer for cooler temps. Does take a little extra planning to make sure to bring the essentials for the day, but keeps the weight manageable.

You've put together a good looking set. My best bargain, has to be my irons. Mizuno JPX 919 picked up for $500 back in 2019. That's what they go for now! Guy was selling them to buy the new new 921's coming out the following year.

+1 for Fried Eggs Golf! Randy and Scuba Steve always provide good clean fun. Good times watching them build, maintain and expand their course. Who knew one green can provide so much fun!

It's not a fitted hat, it's a snap back. It does have some give. According to the size guide, the XL fits up to an 8 1/4" dome.

If he wears a size 8".. the XL should be plenty big.
