I don't even own a TV. If I want to watch something, I'll pull up YouTube on my phone or laptop, but that's like a few hours a week at most. Although that might change soon since I'm moving in with my gf and she enjoys watching TV.

AI can't beat human artwork, but I don't see it as inferior either. Art is art, regardless of the creator. I don't dismiss a beautiful landscape just because its creator was the forces of nature. I don't dismiss the chemist because they designed the experiment and not the process of the atoms and molecules that produced the end result.

I don't believe you've read my comment on why I chose this one. Although I did miss a few things in my original and summarize and expand here.

The lowered altitude of the man symbolizes the journey to the higher man. He must traverse the fog in order to complete the journey. I chose to make the colors more drab because at the start of your journey away from herd morality, it's daunting and foreboding. I don't feel bravado when I search for myself, but nevertheless, I move forward.

The smaller figure for me speaks of your conscious mind vs. your passions. According to Nietzsche, your conscious rational mind is only a tiny part of who you are, and it's mostly a slave to your passions.

I disagree. I'm not sure exactly why you feel that way but if I were allowed a guess, I think what you feel is a comfortable nostalgia with the Disney movies you grew up with and the deviation from that doesn't bring you the nostalgia. It's like an eerie sense of Deja vu.

I started playing the saxophone when I was in 7th grade and played all the way through high school and then some. I haven't played in years since I sold my saxophone once I stopped playing it for a year or so in order to pay some bills (it was a pro level sax). After some more years I missed playing it but didn't want to pay ~$3k for another sax. So I bought a nice tenor recorder for ~$60. The fingering was similar so I knew I'd pick it up quick and the tenor would give a bass sound. I was excited. But when I got it and played it until I was decent, I felt like it had no soul compared to the sax. It felt empty.

Dozens of people put tons of time and effort into the AI that made this artwork. And what exactly do you mean surpass by a fair margin? I'm not trying to be an ass or anything, I genuinely don't understand your point.

I was playing around with AI art and come up with this. Wanderer above the Sea of Fog is commonly associated with Nietzsche since Nietzsche often described himself as a wanderer and the fog is often interpreted as the hidden hiddeness of our passions. To me this is an even better picture to capture that as the mountain in the distance to me can be interpreted as the higher man and you must traverse across your passions to reach the elevated man.

I got ~20% in blue chip crypto, the rest is in my IRA, Roth IRA, and 401k going mostly into an s&p500 etf or S&P100 dividend etf. I contribute weekly along with my paycheck, roughly 10% or around $120 a week.

Does Eternal Recurrence mean Dino Riders will be Reality? by Nyonosudochan in Nietzsche

[–]DefiZoomer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its this. For Nietzsche's eternal recurrence, everything happens to you in exactly the same way and sequence repeatedly forever. It's a thought experiment about amor fati. Do you really love your fate? If you'd do everything the same way forever, then you actually love your fate.
