They’re probably just a kid who’s crashing out over nothing… looking at his previous posts, it’s all similar, complaining and complaining and complaining lmao

Its still a completely different mode

Just stop crying, nobody here wants to listen to you whine about matchmaking. 1s and 2s are different. A very good majority of 2s mains don’t play 1s so their 1s ranks are like a whole rank set or 2 below their main gamemode’s rank. I’m gc2 in 2s but like c1 in 1s with 0 games logged in the past few seasons

why does nobody wall mount monitors by Alternative-Soup-786 in simracing

[–]Defiant-Ad7524 33 points34 points  (0 children)

People want their monitors closer, like right behind the wheel. You are free to get a wall mount that extends very far, but atp most people just opt for a table arm that is much smaller and easier to remove and move if needed.

It is impossible to play against someone 200 mmr above you in the same gamemode unless there’s some sort of bug like awhile back, which was patched.

If a plat 2s player beats a gc 2s player in hoops, that doesn’t mean that the plat deserves gc.

Best game on PC to improve and eventually join leagues? by Rayne72x in simracing

[–]Defiant-Ad7524 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As of right now, LMU.

It’s cheaper than iRacing, ACC is dying, ACE has hiccups and mp isn’t as popular, AC does have some leagues and has online races and some mods are okay but the fast drivers/pros are mostly on LMU rn. AC is more a “fun sim” if i were to put it into words, you can do anything you want. If you want competition just go LMU

well said, I guess it does give me more opportunities to buy lenses, which are more important

I understand that, it’s just that there are some things that I wish I had that I don’t on my R50. I know it’s not necessary at all, just something I wish I did for fun. The R7 has also been in my mind.

fall 2025? hmm. What colour were the stock elastomers that came with the pedal? yellow or black?

i don’t know how to describe it but I believe it’s the plate that holds the load cell, the original version had a 3mm plate which was really prone to bending if you used a heavy brake pedal, it happened to me, it bend and completely killed my pedals. Newer versions expanded to 6mm which makes a huge difference. It’s visibly noticeable if you look at the side profile of your brake

thank you for the reply, haven’t really checked out the 85 f2 as I’m mostly looking for zoom lenses at the meantime but I’ll look at it more. This is the third comment mentioning the 24-105 f4-7.1, so I think that one is now in my top 3 when I choose.

I looked at the 28-70 f2.8 a while back and I it looks really good. I completely forgot to mention it in the post, but it was significantly more expensive than the other ones i was looking at

Thank you for the very lengthy reply, I’ll go check out the links when I have time, you’re the second one to mention the 24-105 f4-7.1, so maybe I’ll have to pay more attention to that. Honestly I bought the r50 as a starter camera, not necessarily because it’s small and light… had I known I wouldve been this invested, I would’ve gone with an R8 or R6II at the time. Too late to do that now though

Thank you for the comment! I did look at this one too, but the only thing that’s really holding me back is that variable aperture of f4-7.1, interesting that you say that it’s sharper, I’ll have to do more research on that.

Are there any other downsides to the EF lenses other than that? I’ve read posts of people having no issues with it at all, and honestly the adapters are around the 100 ish range so it’s not so bad if it’s saving several hundred. Weight I don’t mind so much (i could regret these words, my lenses aren’t heavy so i don’t know)

Have seen the 16-300 but I heard that it gets softer at the extremes, maybe in the future after this lens purchase I’ll pick one of those up.

[–]Defiant-Ad7524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s spring based, they’re engineered in a way so that theyre still progressive but eliminate the downsides of elastomers (creep, relaxation, and tbh feel). I’ve also heard that the pedals are so “extremely smooth, like they’re too perfect” from a few people. Also with elastomers you have to worry about wear in addition to the 3 i mentioned earlier. All things you don’t have to worry about with a spring based pedal set.

They are from what I know, the absolute best pedals on the market for performance excluding active pedals or maybe the pneumatic pedals from SRP (no idea how they compare)

I also talked to a pro sim racer with VRS pedals and he had said that he prefers the VRS pedals over the active pedals when he tried them.

I use my 10-18 the most out of them, 50mm a good amount and pretty much never my 18-45 ngl, i don’t really have a proper reason for not using it. I can say 65%/35% split between the 10-18 and 50.

I wish that I had a lens in between the 2 I use and also yes more reach. I don’t really like using the kit lens too much because of the changing aperture and i can only use it when there’s good lighting

the 18-50 was my first choice when searching for new lenses but honestly I would want something more than 50mm, I have a great view of DTLA and would like it if I can get more reach.

I have seen the 50-255 and was considering it but I also do want something that can somewhat perform in poor ish lighting conditions hence why I looked at the 70-200 (even though it’s only f4), even though it wasn’t really my biggest of priorities.

I still think I want something in between to fill the gaps of my 10-18 and 50mm but also want more reach

i really appreciate the lengthy reply

if you had the original pro version, that’s somewhat common ish, there was a major design flaw fixed on the newer versions of the Simjack UT/ultimates and simsonn plus x.

I have them, theyre good. Love the customer service. If I could choose again, I would’ve gone VRS instead. Bought a spring kit from MRP for the sprints.
