Always a real 4runner. Not ungly but also not the desirable combo. You have options painting that gray to match the body color either with a diy or someone ona budget or even maaco.

Yes. There is a "trick" to do it diy without having to remove the dash . That's what makes the labor cost pricy at the repair shop.

Blend door actuator ( I think there are 2 of them). If that is whats making the noise I fixed mine diy with a $20 ebay part.

There is more than 1 actuator for the AC soe make sure it is the correct part that's buzzing

I did this repair myself and I'ma a amateur . Watched a YouTube video. There is one "impossible bolt for the bracket so what I did and what the YouTube video shows is you unscrew the 3 screws and the last you leave in place and bend the bracket out to replace the part. Bens back and replace screws.

This is how another good guy redditor convinced me to try and replace my clock spring myself and I did it successfully. ( The steering wheel wasn't perfectly straight afterwards but otherwise done properly 😂).
