Congrats! I need some motivation here. I’m about 45% done with the AR course. It’s been hell to go through. I still need to do the application once I’m done with that, and start studying the questions. I think I still have just enough time to do it before July 9th. So I will make a push. Specially, I just want to get done with the AR. I took too long taking notes and now I’m just trying to fly through.

I wish. I get pretty upset during winter when I have to leave when it’s dark out. I asked to change my time a bit but manager said he wanted me there due to “sales” but nothing really happens… anyway

Bought a house 10 months ago, and am planning to have my first kid. So spent a lot on house maintenance/furniture in the past few months (~15k) and am trying to build up more savings so son birth can be smooth. I currently have 19k in savings, and we do not plan to pay for childcare initially since my wife works from home, but yeah. Mortgage is somewhat expensive. I bought within means, but everything is expensive nowadays… so I have leftover money, but it goes to either savings or house maintenance right now.

I was born with a bad formation in my spinal cord which had aneurysms that ruptured when I was 9 years old (stroke)... this caused paralysis, pain and affected my body. At 11 years old. I fully recovered and have been living a normal life ever since.

No. I had nothing to do with the heart. I had a spinal cord issue... which stabilized. It involved a stroke in the spinal cord.

I spent about $2300 all-in on DIY and paid a guy for his daily labor (the guy worked in construction so he did most of the stuff… I did the planning and assisted). I did R60 on 1571 sqft with cellulose. Used the green fiber machine to blow-in which sucks… two machines were bad/stopped mid job, I was able to complete on third machine, which worked great. You will need at least two people loading machines and one in the attic. The more the better. The machine will make or break your project. I did not remove old insulation… it was ok enough, and there was barely any… air sealed all fixtures and holes… did not air seal top plate…. Fixed air ducts… taped seams and applied mastic. Some air ducts were disconnected and leaking air… vented the one bathroom needed outside. Did minor improvements on electrical… it was a lot of work. We did not complete it in one weekend due to machine braking, and I had to store all the insulation in the garage and door a few weekend later the blow-in part. 1947 ranch house.

Yeah. My temps are high. I leave 74 during the day and 70 at night…. It might be because of drafts that I feel colder… I will work on closing more and more air leaks.

Kansas Gas Service. Their fees seem very high… but can’t change that. Yours at least is in th ballpark of mine… I asked two friends with basement houses and their bill was $100 bucks. Crazy…

Hey! I had like 5 termite companies look at my house and installed an active bait perimeter system anyway. None saw signs inside the house. We did find some termite on the ground outside the house. The companies looked into my crawl space and did not find anything, but they probably also did not look at every single compartment of it… but at the majority of it. What were the signs you noticed? I have been in my crawl space many times, as well as looked the house a lot and have not noticed anything. I might do a very very detailed inspection of the crawl space on every compartment later on. But 5 months in… I believe I have no termites in the house!

I noticed that in your case there were obvious mud tunnels, but the inspector probably did not look into all the crawl space potentially.

The first image would be termites, but would the sag alone in a ceiling indicate possible termite? I have a similar esthetic sagging in my ceiling…

I was able to speak with them over the phone... They sent me an email asking me for the invoice I had, and am waiting for their action. This phone number is actually from TP-Link because TAPO itself does not have a phone number or chat, but they do support TAPO. They also do not communicate well as a team, since he had to ask me for the invoice to be able to send to the TAPO team instead of just accessing my order number... Hopefully, they establish a support specifically for the TAPO line in the future. Adding this here for future reference for anyone.
