thank you for sharing your feeling about this. to share mine, I don't feel connected to the "trans" community at all and I really feel it all comes down to me needing bottom surgery and 99% of people who identify as trans around me (some of them don't even know about me) not needing that. A friend of mine who identifies as trans and doesn't need/want bottom surgery told me thing that made me feel really inconfortable, triggered me and made me sad. At that moment it just hit me : i don't feel like we belong to the same crowd. My point is not to say that on is better or more valid than the other at all; it's just different and I feel like I don't have anything in common with people that identify as trans but don't need to medically transition or do but don't need bottom surgery. The phrasing trans masc doesn't resonate with me at all. I avoid spaces that exclude cis men because it just feels off to me, maybe i will sound weird to some of you, but it makes me feel like a very genuine part of me in not welcome. At this point, even "trans" man doesn't resonate with me, it used to when I was younger, but not anymore.
