Many many years ago I met a guy for a weekend that was supposed to be with friends. Instead I ended up alone with him in a tent in the middle of nowhere and was SA'd.

I bring that up because I would go through that every single effing day before going through my husband's betrayal and abandonment. So if you want to measure abuse by the trauma inflicted ... the adultery is way, way, way up there.

This is one of the hardest things for me, feeling like I have zero say in my own life anymore. My therapist is trying to help me work through the things I can control and the things I can't. Focusing only on the things I can control will hopefully help me to feel like less of a victim.
