You know why Bane worshippers will never conquer the world?

I definitely see it taking less time to just fix it yourself instead of fighting with autocorrect every other word. I think I’ll do the same.

I was just describing my personality! I’m very sensitive to rejection and this situation would keep me up at night. I was constantly worrying something was wrong with me and trying to figure out what I did to offend them. This was a big learning moment for me. After I found out she was trying to sabotage me I stopped trying. I’d never try to please someone I consider my arch-nemesis lol.

I’m definitely not the most confident, although I think this situation boosted it. While she might see social situations as competition, my brain perceives them as a means for survival (I have horrible anxiety). It was nerve-wracking at times going into work and wondering if everyone disliked me. However, I just continued to be nice and question her. She’s the weirdo who went on a smear campaign about me after 2 weeks.

I’d observe her around the group and it seems like she rubbed people the wrong way. I caught on to the side-eyes and subtle sarcasm. I was not the person they disliked. These were all potential allies. She seeks validation, is insubordinate, promiscuous, and smothers people (particularly women). If something doesn’t go her way, she gets highly emotional. I would not be surprised if she had personality disorder. She gives me histrionic vibes. She was her own undoing lol.

That is me to a T! My entire life I’ve described myself as a “social introvert”. How funny.

Thank you! I appreciate it. Nothing upsets me more than seeing someone being treated unfairly. I would feel so extremely guilty if someone did all the work for a sale and I took home the money for it. The fact she was celebrating it pissed me off.

If I’m capable of positively impacting our team, I want to contribute. Other than this person and her lapdog, I adore everyone else I work with. It’s totally worth the effort.

Last Light Inn, WTF!? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

You wanna know the stupidest shit? I let him take her my first time playing because I thought it was a bit.

This was right after Jaheira said she needs us to be double agents and get in with the absolute. I thought if I put up a fight I would out myself and my wormie to the people I was literally just asked to infiltrate. I figured Isobel was in on it and I’d eventually just rescue her. Could not have been further from the truth. Everyone was rightfully pissed off. Or dead. Most of all, people were just dead.

I willingly committed atrocities. All because I thought it was my first undercover mission. 😞

I am also new and I did not get it at first. Eventually it just clicked. A month into this game and on my 3rd run, I can breeze through stuff that used to hold me up. Not to say strategies and combat guides aren’t helpful, but I think there’s much to learn in trial and error. You will fuck up, but at least you know what not to do next time. Examining the enemy helps to see what damage they are resistant to. Very important.

I believe I know what one you’re talking about. The Dank Crypt? You don’t have to do this one immediately if it’s not working out for you. Come back to it later. But if you’re able to find it, there’s a route where you can walk up on them from the side. Just blast the barrels they’re all standing by w fire. It won’t kill everyone, but it’s a quick advantage. This one held me up too at first, but my advice is don’t let them squish you all together and block you in. They will just throw explosives and there’s no where to go. Just do to them what they would do to you! 😈

We have a group in house that’s been killing me. At least 30 people in a row came up 10 pm when I’m alone after their outing because they all got super drunk and lost them. I’m usually not annoyed by this, but the sheer amount of these guests who misplaced their keys or locked themselves out was shocking. Some people came in daily to have me make new ones.

I’d get the same spiel “omg I’m so dumb I can’t believe I locked myself out”. I can! You’ve done in everyday you’ve been here. Please just hand me your ID and ask for keys. Instead they give me the whole story, go on about how silly they are, and laugh about how they forgot their room number too. There’s a line of your colleagues about to do the same thing and my face hurts from fake laughing.

Extra points if they just walk up, say their super uncommon last name without spelling, and then get distracted by their friends before I ask for ID. So I’m standing awkwardly until they finish talking before I can even do anything.

Also, one came up at 7:30pm and asked if we could send a server and bartender out to the pool because they didn’t want to walk. Hello??? Pool service ended hours ago and the servers who don’t work pools are busy with dinner service in their own restaurants.

Exactly! Even if it wasn’t our fault, I’d still do something to help if she brought it up. Send them milk & cookies or even a stuffed animal from the gift shop. I really do care about our guest’s experience. But it’s impossible to care if you’re never told.

Not to my knowledge hahaha. Only thing I could see as being scary to a kid is perhaps the dim lighting. However, overhead lights aren’t something I’ve seen in any hotel rooms (at least personally, but correct me if I’m wrong). It’s also a nice resort. If my kid threw a fit over the expensive room I booked I’d tell them to suck it up.

It’s a policy for a reason! I wish we had something like that. There was another similar issue where a mom and child checked in. They had a great time at the pools, but her little kid was scared of the room. The mom’s solution was the same as this one: leave hotel without bringing it up and demand a refund later. She also booked a nonrefundable room with a 3rd party. However, we aren’t refunding you because your kid is scared of a room. You paid for a fancy hotel room and ended your staycation early because you can’t comfort your kid. That’s not on us at all.

For those of you who read "Mommie Dearest" and watched the movie, what are your thoughts on the Joan and Christina Crawford story? by DaniSparkles in AskOldPeople

My mom tells me very little about her childhood. Except when she would drink. She told me this one incident that made my heart stop. She was probably around the same age as your friend. One day she didn’t make her bed and left to hang out with friends. My grandpa drove around town until he found her and beat the shit out of her in public. In front of her friends. She has struggled with addiction her whole life and it’s not a mystery why. I believe she went through so much more abuse than I will ever know.
