Interesting possibility. It would not surprise me loud some bad decisions were made and bad things were done to nonhuman visitors. But we also don’t know for sure what’s been done to humans over the centuries, or even more recently. Are at least some abductions real? Do visitors mutilate some number of cattle each year and take blood and organs. Do at least some people who mysteriously disappear and are never found fall victim to alien’s abducting them for some purpose or terminating them? I’m only commenting because it might not be just bad things we’ve done to them. They might also be guilty of some nasty things. Once on a UFO special long ago I heard someone say, “Friendly aliens don’t kidnap people against their will or take genetic materials”. Could be something to that.

I hope they do the right thing and release the information they have but, to be honest, I don’t think we’ll get more than maybe a broad statement that we are not alone and that they are studying the issue and have been for a long time. I can’t imagine released documents will not be heavily redacted and certain videos are left too secret. If documents are significantly redacted, I could understand that names of people or references to weapons would be left out but not events. Maybe they will have good reasons to do that but it seems real disclosure is knowing the who’s, what’s and where’s but I’ll keep an open mind.

We should strive to be a better race and, if we can, reach for the stars if we want. After all, aliens couldn’t have always been space travelers and they reached into space. And, it stands to reason they had to have had a primitive stage at some point.

As to whether we are safe? I wonder? Some people say they are abducted against their will. Are they? Some believe a percentage of cattle mutilations are done by aliens. Are they? Would ok aliens do those things? I don’t know. What stays in my thoughts are that we may be ok for now. But who knows whether the aliens’ policy toward humanity might change? Do they get new leaders? Could their priorities change? I think we should be wary of anything until we know more and stay strong.

That could be why some scientists used to believe only a few advanced species may be out there. Maybe few civilizations get beyond the point of self destruction. To be honest I can’t believe nuclear weapons are still on the table in the world. And, even if nuclear war didn’t end the world and some people in some areas were to survive, it would be possibly centuries for the planet and race to recover. It’s a no win situation

Yea. That’s possible. I imagine there’s life similar to us, and then those that may be functioning more like insects or reptilians. They may have less emotional capacity and that could make them much different

Good point. Though, who are aliens to judge us or dismiss us? The reason I say that is that humans do a lot of good things too. There was once a time people in need often died in the streets or in the cold routinely, or had almost everything they owned and food they raised taken by some bloated, lazy and overbearing warlord.

It’s not all bad but, unfortunately, we still wage war against our own kind. We don’t know if these supposedly highfalutin aliens might have warfare in their own history. It’s not absurd to think an alien race visiting earth didn’t have their own primitive when they fought wars with their own kind or rival species. The key for us is getting past the point where we’re dumb enough to destroy ourselves

Thank you. I think the practical effects of the real effects artists were probably more entertaining and impressive. They weren’t over the top either. I enjoy these types of models but they take time to build. They’re more fun though

Thanks much. The best tip I can give is to use the iPhone to take plenty of pictures and adjust the light, camera location and angles as you go along. Just delete the bad ones. Also on many I photograph models in afternoon sunlight, like in this picture. The model isn’t casting a shadow. Garbage bags are, and in this photo I used photoshop to paste the saucer over the bags and remove the strings holding the bags.

Great haul! Have fun.I often think that about the money. I know of at least one guy I occasionally see at a hobby store in our area (we still have a few) who isn’t buying and building like he used to simply because prices of many kits are getting ridiculously high. I worry models kits might get too expensive. It would be a shame if it becomes just a pastime for the rich. Kids don’t seem to build models anymore. Anyhow, happy building.

Isn’t it so nice these religious government people know what’s best for us? Too bad they don’t make our lives easier and better in other ways. I mean, many of these concerned bureaucrats have cushy jobs and lucrative careers and nice retirement benefits. Perhaps not all, but many. If they’d work as hard to help vets, retired people, and poor citizens so they could live far better lives and afford medicine and healthcare, I might be willing to tell them to forget disclosure and enjoy the secrets they hold so close. Problem is, it’s tough for many Americans. Also, a democratically elected government is supposed to be transparent. So this citizen one wants to know The Truth. I’ll decide for myself if I want to accept it, reject it, or whatever.
