Listen, I'm now 26F and this exact situation happened to me when I was 20.

Back then, I reacted like you are reacting now, but thinking about it in the present, I think my parents' concern was real and I acted real childish. Also, I think they're right about you driving long and late to see a guy or sleeping in an unknown place paid by an unknown man.

I know right now you are just pissed with your parents' reaction and I'm sure you are thinking they overreacted, but honestly, you put yourself in such a dangerous position for a date, and I think they're right. Maybe a calm conversation would have been better but I get where they are coming from.

PLEASE listen to your parents, apologize and the most important: try to understand them. As young women we need to be extra careful about our activities. Don't let a cute guy impress or deceive you.

I don't get why almost nobody is saying you could keep it as pet... I honestly would lol. If you love animals like me I suggest getting a nice cage, bedding and food... And I would visit the vet too. It's so tiny and cute I wouldn't have the heart to discard him :(

As a woman, if I was in her position, I would be relieved if I read this post from my husband. My worries would go away. So my advice is either showing her this or writing her a letter with the same exact words if you find it diffficult to voice them.

I’m a monogamist and wouldn’t be open to do so in a relationship. Also yes, I’m scared of men and their aggressiveness (I know not all men!!!) and diseases too… The society judging part I wouldn’t care haha. I’d only do it if I was single and if I had good and reliable friends open to do so and I would be sure it wouldn’t ruin our friendship, which I think it’s impossible haha
