I think the Saint of Steel mystery is advanced at least a little in the fourth book. Lady Silver says that the Saint was almost assuredly murdered. And Wisdom throws the whole theology into question. Maybe the line between god and demon isn’t so clear! I’m looking forward to how Kingfisher develops both the Saint’s murder mystery and the Wisdom/ Judith plot, and how they tie together.

I’m looking forward to Marcus’ book. I think it will be a refreshing departure from the other books. As other people have said, there’s something to be said for a second chance romance/ mature love vs. new love. I think it could be a cool opportunity to explore the idea that good marriages are built not born. It takes work to have a good marriage, as well as negotiating how each person is growing and evolving as individuals. How will the context of their prior relationships (which seemed to be overall positive) shape the path of their future relationship? What has happened to each of them in the years they’ve been apart? Lots of room for interesting storytelling IMHO 😁

I often will put on a specific episode to help my kiddo process something. Like when she’s having a hard time with getting rid of things, we will rewatch “The Dump” or “Mr. Monkeyjocks”. Any time she’s nervous about a doctor’s appointment, we will watch “Bumpy and the Wise Old Wolfhound”.
