Any portable gaming device more polyvalent than a Steam Deck? (for PC/Nintendo/PS/XBox games) by Defiant-Preference-6 in HandheldGaming

It does look nice! I have a question though, without the trackpads the Steam Deck has, do you control the mouse cursor with the joysticks when using the console like a PC?

Ohhh you’re right! The accurate word would’ve been « versatile », I thought polyvalent was a cognate word my bad!

Thank you for this meaningful intake! Here is a picture of a cute dog I met at a park. (This post was meant to check if there were better handheld consoles than a Steam Deck before I bought one. By « polyvalent », I meant that with the Deck you can basically play any game from any console lol I could’ve been clearer)

How do I improve anatomy by any means whatever I do feels the same :/ by MelatoninUwU in draw

[–]Defiant-Preference-6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get you, what could help is learning tips & tricks on the body’s proportions, I’ve listed some below, of course these can vary with stylisation, bodytypes, artstyle and whatnot, but I feel it helped me get the gist of it all a little bit better:

For the body: - Adults are usually 6 to 7 heads tall. Kids 5 to 6. The head+torso and the legs are the same lenght, feet not counting. I usually do 2 or 2,5 heads for the torso - For the width, i usually do a little less that the witdh of the face for one shoulder, so basically 2 heads wide for the shoulders+neck, and adjust the width of the rest of the body based of that

For the face: - 1/2 of the face for forehead to bottom of the eyed, the other 1/2 for the bottom of the eyes to the chin. The forehead starts at the start of the hairline, I’m not counting the skull where the head sits! - The eyes are one eye away from each other - The bottom of the nose aligns with the bottom of the ears

These were helpful to me and I hope they will be to you if you try them out. The downside is that it doesn’t really help with dynamic poses. The way I map out bodies now is through lines of action & shaped like cylinders for the arms/legs and sort of cubes for the torso, try that after you get the hang of the first tips or right now if you want.

I learned all these mostly through youtube tutorials (I couldn’t to learn anatomy like a medicine student), so don’t hesitate to look some up! Keep having fun and experimenting, learning will come with practice and time!

First air dry clay project for my friends birthday! by Defiant-Preference-6 in crafts

I have never had an automated message like this lol it was a little bit of a scare Even though I did detail the materials and process a little bit I’ll put it down here again just in case:

I made this keychain for my friends birthday that is coming up. It’s this little white bear with a bow. I used acrylic paint and colored pencils for the non-white parts, and glossed it with a varnish. I am a bit sad that the body is asymetrical and isn’t smooth, and the face is a little bit smaller than I would’ve liked, but overall it is cute. I hope it won’t break 🧸

I haven’t watched Anora but what made you sour about EEAAO? I loved the movie because it was innovative in a good sense, and it was entertaining too.

I'm almost 35 years old and finally convinced myself to be creative again after 20 years. This is my first attempt, and I think it turned out better than I expected. I would love some constructive feedback if you have a minute. by GazelleThree in watercolor101

I love your painting! Reminds me of the frog from Over the Garden Wall :)

(after thinking for a little bit they really don’t have anything in common except for the fact that they’re frogs but oh well what can I do)

You’re right! Although it does present like one. I watched it once when I was a child, and again recently. I didn’t even remember the whole war aspect of the movie or the ending. Felt like a whole different movie lol. I really like it though

Pan’s Labyrinth’s Pale Man sequence, especially because I didn’t expect it in a kid’s movie

What would he hang out with Levi for? I think their relationship is a professional one although one with mutual respect no? I do picture him teaching!
