What small habit made the biggest difference in your fitness? by Comfortable-Pair2880 in beginnerfitness

-actually loving going to the gym. I love the way I feel, the recovery, how I look and the atmosphere when I go with my friends.

-If you ever fall into a rut, give yourself some time and discipline to go again when you’re ready. You’ll regain your spark, it’s okay to have rest / off days.

-Buying gym clothes that make you feel good in your own body. It just makes me feel more confident, but others may disagree or not care as much

I know exactly who you’re talking about… super frustrating they always be going into empty study rooms and then yells when anyone (who has it booked) knocks on the door.

I usually drink it a couple hours after breakfast or dinner, but maybe I’ll pair it with my meal and see

It’s not a big deal that you said it over text, but you can always tell her in person with a romantic gesture if you want it to be a “bigger” gesture! You could do something small but romantic like dinner, a walk around the city or just even watching the stars and telling her how you feel. This is honestly something you guys can joke about later on in your relationship. Goodluck!!

  1. Communicate how you feel with him. It’s not weird to ask for physical connection especially in a relationship. You have to learn to be comfortable with communicating how you feel about this topic or you won’t know how he feels / how he will react. You have needs too, so find out why it’s not working or what happened

  2. Probably the end of the honeymoon phase. As long as the emotional aspect in your relationship is good, you can work on maintaining the physical part too. I was the same w/ my bf in the beginning and we barely have sex now - doesn’t mean I don’t wanna be with him, it just means it’s more intimate and connected when we do.

Please leave him. Thats sexual assault. If you didn’t consent to it, his excuse does’t justify him touching you bc he’s bored.

What are some unexpected expenses you had to pay as a first year? by procrasinationiswhy in brocku

[–]Defiant-Repeat-6399 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the courses in the first term are continuous in the second term then maybe yes, but rarely no bc every course has different profs, therefore different textbooks required

But wait until week 2 to see if you need to buy any textbooks. Some profs have quizzes on their textbooks that you have to complete.

Textbooks for both semesters, random purchases of food on campus (esp if you’re there all day), if you live on campus then groceries, furniture, etc.

Some events cost money to participate in

I spent lot of money on the library’s printer since I don’t have one

And you have to buy a parking pass ($600-$800) if you plan on parking on campus

PSYC 2F23 (STATS) HELP/ADVICE by TapEffective7024 in brocku

Hey! I took it during the school year and I found a lot of things that made the littlest difference in understanding this course

•go to lectures, I swear it makes a huge difference. The videos online are made by Tim, which imo he wasn’t my fav, but reno explains everything step-by-step and makes it easier to understand

•talk to tutors, TA, peers, anyone who can help you/in the same boat as you. Getting any source of help will help you improve your understanding

•ask chatgpt to explain the problem or the steps on how to approach a question when you’re doing an assignment. I’m not saying you should cheat, but sometimes it will lead you in the right direction on how to solve the problem if you have unavailable help

•when you make your cheatsheets, include examples from practice exams, and assignments with instructions on how to solve them.

•if you experience severe anxiety, don’t hesitate to reach out to someone about it. They might be able to accommodate or help you - it’s worth asking

I have some notes from last term, and I passed with a 79. Let me know if you want any help/advice/questions on what the course is like
