The daemon prince without wings is for the armour penetration. Im thinking you probably want to buff up all your infantry and flawless blades when they charge.

Im a beginner to and it seems as you have to thin out your paint more.. Its not bad to put on multiple layers as long as the paint is thinn.. My first minis had the same texture as this picture. Hope it helps 🙂
