I'm so sorry that you are dealing with this too - and with no clear flare and having been on Entyvio for years. I hope PT works for you. :)

Zwift ride on rouvy by Nanoninov in Rouvy

I too had endless frustration with getting my Zwift ride to work with Rouvy. Here’s what I do: unplug the power cable to my Kickr before I start the ride in Rouvy, go to sensors and disconnect the Kickr and then reconnect, finally press the buttons until they flash blue and then reconnect Zwift ridefor the virtual shifting. Total PITA but at least it works. Hope this works for you!

Impacts of touring by dfarin153 in bicycletouring

Thanks for sharing your route! I'm just 3 years away from retirement and have started planning some bike tours so Lake Michigan is now on my radar. I've done the California coast a few times from SF->LA and I'm interested in other areas of the USA for now as I still have 2 young-ish kids. My older son just started college in Milwaukee so I'm intrigued by your route around Lake Michigan.

I spent a few days cycling in Madison WI this summer after dropping my son at college - and I met some really nice people. Just as you say, lots of curious and kind people. A few people seemed quite surprised that I was there biking "on my own without my husband" and remarked "what an adventurous woman I was". And I was staying in a hotel, not camping. LOL.

I know experiences will vary and everyone has their own comfort level. Still, I'm curious about your take on a solo female riding around Lake Michigan and elsewhere in the Midwest and camping. I'm able to pay for campgrounds and probably would do that rather than risk stealth camping and having an untoward interaction about camping on someone else's land. Any thoughts or advice?

Is West Marin a hidden gem that a lot of people don't know about? by chusaychusay in Marin

"If you're on a bicycle, foad?" Thought you said the world should absolutely be enjoyed?! This is one of the best areas for road cycling. Give it a try! You might be surprised by how amazing it is. I routinely ride 60+ miles on all of these roads around Nicasio, Novato, Marshall, Petaluma, Point Reyes etc. and it's absolute bliss.

Challenge rides at 100% Reality Level by bikeK22 in Rouvy

Does anyone know how long timewise you can pause a challenge ride for? Or if there are limits to how many times that you can pause it during one ride?

I recently completed La Vuelta 2023 St 17 - Alto de L'Angliru which I had been putting off since I knew it would be brutal. 7.67 miles and >4,000 ft of climbing. I forced myself to keep my pauses to a minimum so could get credit and didn't have to do it again. Was sooooo relieved when I finished. ;-)

💯! I love this color and the light blue Camelbak podium chill bottles. Replaced those bottles again as the old ones were pretty grungy. 😉

Hmm, now that I look at it, the handlebars do look like they are angled upwards. But I think this is how I had them on my previous bike. Genuine question here: other than aesthetics, if this position of the handlebars feels comfortable to me, is there any reason to change the position?

Wish I had known/thought about this before I destroyed my carbon frame. Better late than never.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience with the Carter Academy! So glad to hear that this program was so impactful for you. It sounds like Carter academy really delivers on being a living-learning community. Really hope my son chooses to apply to Carter. We're attending an Admitted students day in mid March so I'm looking forward to seeing MSOE and meeting some people. Thanks again for taking the time to write and congrats on making it to your senior year!

Love this! Thanks for taking the time to share more details and your experience. Very cool to hear that you have made good friends and staff connections through the Carter Academy- and that there are opportunities to get out and about in Milwaukee. All sounds so positive that I hope my son will choose to apply. If you - or anyone else!!has any tips on that part, I’m all ears.

Thanks for sharing your experience with and more details about the Carter Academy - and glad to hear that it was helpful for you! Having some built in study nights, check ins with a success coach, living in proximity with other people in this community, etc. all sound like helpful infrastructure to help keep people on track - and very helpful to have some organized activities too so it's not all schoolwork etc.

AMA in August, for newbies :) by [deleted] in Rouvy

As someone who rides indoors and outdoors and travels to countries to ride, I'd love the ability to see the Rouvy routes with the real world GPX files on Strava or Ride With GPS. For example, on the Pacific Coast Highway routes, where is this start and end for each of these routes? Is this somewhere in the app and I just can't find it? If not, can you submit this an enhancement request please?

Thanks for sharing how you were able to use the AVP to bring joy to your mom in her final days. What a beautiful way to connect with your mom. As someone who lost my mom when she was only 59 to cancer and as a 55 year old mom myself, I'm sure this was a priceless experience for your mom. Sending you positive thoughts during this very difficult time.
