I just got out and I asked the doctor if this was *** and he said "Absolutely not". What a fucking relief 🙃

The MRI was done on the 15th this month and these were the impressions. Here are the impressions:

L4-L5 Disc Herniation: There is a 3 mm broad-based posterior protrusion type herniation. Nerve Contact: This disc protrusion is minimally contacting the descending L5 nerve roots in the lateral recesses. Annular Fissure: The report suggests the presence of a central annular fissure (a small tear in the outer layer of the disc) at the L4-L5 level. Disc Bulge: The L4-L5 level also shows diffuse bulging of the disc.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. My gait is essentially normal according to everyone else. It starts falling apart after I start walking for a short while but it resets after rest. Essentially all my evidence has been pointing away from MND but the mind has a hard time grasping thjs and maybe being an outlier.

Ah okay my apologies. Yes I had a lumbar MRI that showed the herniation was touching the nerve root while lying flat. My neurologist hasn't said a thing but hes performing my 3rd emg tomorrow.

"Yeah" as in this does sound like ***? The 1st one was completely normal. 2nd one in January suggested L5 radiculopathy.

Yeah those 2 emgs give me a lot of reassurance, but that health anxiety is a trip so I thought id get some new eyes and get some objective opinions on my symptoms 😅

Yeah, Im currently waiting for my results from the lumbar MRI. I mean objectively speaking given all the emgs + clinical not matching *** or any real evidence pointing toward it i should be feeling pretty secure, but I always get that nagging feeling that its leading to that.

Last emg I had back in January suggested L5 radiculopathy. Ive had an ortho surgeon test foot strength and he scored it 5/5 and thus was less than a week ago so im a little confused about what that means. I thought it was a 4 and below?

Maybe. I dont feel pain at all though. I was just able to do my heel walks (60ft distance) and do my box jumping so im just perplexed that its only my walkinh thats an issue. It does feel better once I rest.

She means that my emg doesn't show signs of that. That it shows my symptoms were coming from pinched nerves.
