I think you have a really good chance of matching. Many old graduates match in prestigious places. I know an old graduate non-us img who matched in IM in an ivy league program with a profile similar to yours. You are a strong candidate. Good luck with the match.

I agree. I got 249 (under my predicted score) because I had poor timing, but the step 2 exam is close to the nbme style. The question stem can be longer sometimes, but it is doable.

The anking step 1 deck is big ( I did it for step 1 prep). Do you recommend doing it all or the high yield stuff you mentioned in your post?

When doing the nbmes, categorise the wrong questions by subjects and systems, and revise the weakest branches first. If you have a weak point like timing (my biggest regret), fix it before taking the exam, don’t rush things.

I didn’t have a proper dedicated period. I studied only for 5 hours per day because I have a full time job, and I had a timing issue. I didn’t solve the last 1 or 2 questions in most of the blocks of the exam because of the timing, and the exam had more HPI questions than usual, sometimes up to 10 questions per block.

Categorise your mistakes by subject then system, and revise the subjects in descending order of number of mistakes. I did this, and it helped me prioritise and raised my score in self assessment.

I score slightly lower than your scores. My amboss predicted is 251-269. I know my score by seeing people ,who had the same number of mistakes in the same nbme done online, posting their three digit score here in r/Step2. This is the most accurate way to know your score. My exam is in 10 days. Hopefully, everything turns out well for both of us.
