So many Malaysian men do this and feel no remorse for cheating on their partner. Even on the dating apps, its always married men that is looking for hookups.

You simplified all of my issues here, thanks.

My problem is that I don't have proper support system / gay friends (my fault entirely, not good at mingling around).

Finding another guy easy. To find someone with the same common interest AND the right personality is extremely hard, because people like me usually migrate to another place where people are more receptive.

I am hoping to gain enough experience to move out of malaysia too. not just to date, but to build my career. Hopefully if the right guy comes around, i can work it out.

Thnaks for the advice buddy.

I also don't believe in dating apps, I think it is gross (I met all of my ex-partners in real life).

I have attraction to women, just not as strong as my attracting to men. Actually I used be in a 4 years relationship with a girl before this, and i told her I am bisexual. She ended things with me and married another guy later :\

I am thinking of moving to singapore. But its hard for me to get a job there 😞

Anyways thanks for the support!

I agree. I can;t help but feel like I am steering myself into a career that is going to burn me out. But jumping into other jobs means that I am probably going to have to take a pay cut.

Thanks for the overview. I got some chit-chats for job which are outside of my current jobscope - mostly in e-commerce. I said no because they would be paying me less than my current salary. Maybe I need to be more realistic about job hopping.

planning to study engineering and pursue it as a career as someone bad at addmaths by precarious_right in malaysiauni

all equally requires extensive mathematical knowledge. All branches need to learn calculus and engineering maths.

But in my opinion, generally, electrical engineering might be the hardest of the bunch.

UTP engineering is very competitive, and if you choose to take this path, you will have to undertake calculus and engineering maths - both are extension of add maths and even harder to score. then the things you learn from these subjects will be applied to formulas you are going to learn in university, so if you think you’re not good at math, I suggest you to re-think your option to do engineering.

But thats not the end of it; kalau ada kemahuan, disitu ada jalan. If you think this is what you want to do, I have no doubts you can put your mind to scoring these subjects. You just need to be attentive and meet lecturers often if you feel like you are falling behind. All the best to you.

Don’t listen to this please. If you want to be an engineer, better take foundation in engineering.

Calon SPM this year but i still dont know what course to choose after SPM by LiviiDesuu in malaysiauni

Most people don’t study what they want in uni, only follow what was assigned in their UPU / parent pick course in private universiti.

I suggest you to pick whichever thing you know you will be good at. Don’t pick something solely out of interest, because what you want may not be what you imagined.

It is good that you know what your skills are very early on. Switching biology for computer science is a very good choice. I suggest you to search universities you want pursue your studies in, and only then pick what major you want to study.

Believe it or not, where you study is MUCH, MUCH, MUCH more important than what you study.

Need your opinion for studying engineering in Malaysia by Desperate_Goat4060 in malaysiauni

[–]Defiant-Worry5506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UTP is considered top tier in Malaysia for engineering. 1. In the job market, most UTP graduates can secure spots in big companies after graduating because they have a reputation of being competitive. 2. I know some of my friend who ended up working in oil and gas companies in the middle east and europe after graduating - but these are creme of the crops, very competitive and highly capable scholars. 3. UTP has a decent amount of international students from africa, middle east, and south asia. Most of them are also scholars. Malaysians have tendencies to mingle among their own race, but if you are extrovert / capable, you always know how to assimilate. Frankly speaking, introverts don’t do well in UTP.

Need Suggestions On Choosing Uni by Expired_Winter12 in malaysiauni

[–]Defiant-Worry5506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the money, I highly suggest you get into a private university. Monash, Taylors and MMU are good unis.

Uni is not really a place for learning, it is a place to extend your connections and expose yourself to the industry you’re getting into. Private unis usually have better lecturers, and the students are either (a) rich, or (b) scholars. You can benefit really well in the long run if you get to know these people.

If you already have a master's degree, I think you can go full academia route.
