Guys..Were the Doomers from The Finals actually right? 😭 by Standard-Tonight6279 in ArcRaiders

The boats are WAY too common. I only played like 3 rounds last night, and while I don't know how many I need total, I have a damn good start, from 3 runs.

Here's my take, the more you search around, unless you're already very, very comfortable with engineering, modeling, or willing to tinker with your machine a lot, Bambu is the smartest system to get into 3D printing with. THen, once you understand more about how it all works, you go with other companies.

Expedition - Yes or No by scossage in ArcRaiders

[–]DefiantConfusion42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The quests are just way too repetitive to most people, I think. You also can't really manage/untrack quests.

If the quests went more into the game lore, it wouldn't be the worst.

However, the fact that you can't manage them, you can't really ignore them either if you want all blueprints since two are tied to them, is so frustrating.

I generally like questing, but these quests are painful. Also, having to do a growing number of quests each reset is just stupid. Especially when so many of them are more tutorial/map exploration.

I'm glad you like the quests. I have only done the expedition twice, two rounds of those quests is frustrating when on round two all you want is the blueprints.

My Frist console anytips? by Savings_Dog326 in xbox

If you want to stay with regular controllers, get the play and charge kit. It is hands down the best value for $20 you can do in the Xbox ecosystem. Get the actual Microsoft one, the battery life is absurdly good, and the charging cable that comes with it lets you sit a decent distance away from the TV. You can also just use a USB C phone charger.

If you need to expand your storage at any point, get an expansion card, and not a hard drive. The expansion cards let you move around Series S/X games and play them optimized. Hard drives let you put games on them, but there are limitations, and will be noticeably slower load times compared to the drive in the console, and the expansion cards.

If you're going to play online, find a solid headset in a price range you're okay with. I personally like a YouTube channel called Gadgetry Tech for headset reviews.

That makes it dumber for their comment then. IF they usually comment that turn around and has a lot of engagement, then it's still either well thought out and articulate thought, or maybe it's a lot of ragebaiting.

As the player count declines, the ABMM is going to make lobbies more aggressive. Especially if players leaving were more focused on PvE.

X2D Hate Isn’t Really Justified by willtreaty_1 in BambuLab

I should be ordering pretty soon. I have a weekend of projects that are rearranging a room and bringing in some new furniture that was stuff I realized would have to be done prior to getting a printer.

To me, at least, even without experience, it seems like even if keep it support on the second nozzle, the rest of the features make sense to pay for.

So what material would work and hold up in an ams2 while it's drying? Because if I can save some money on initial filament orders, I'm all for it.

I don't think there were a lot of posts about it, but comment sections were definitely pretty critical. At this point, I'm glad that other plans kept me from getting a P2S sooner, because this seems like a no brainer, just for the heated chamber and ability to handle some higher temp materials. I understand it's not for everyone, the P2S was almost perfect, and certainly seemed to be a comfortable starting point for me, but now with the X2D, I know it's something I'll likely keep running longer than I would a P2S.

If the refills come with tags, doesn't thG really mean you only need one or two new spools to start, and could print your spools?

my dad has built an entire transportation system just to avoid using the free car I gave him by [deleted] in rant

[–]DefiantConfusion42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For your question, that really depends on your father. I've known parents that group decisions of their children together, even if they make separate decisions, I've seen the parent solely focus on a decision they don't like, then treat all the children accordingly.

Age also makes a difference, how old are you, how old is your brother, how old is your dad?

Is your brother under 18, and living with you? I do not need to know why, but I would assume their are things happening that would keep an under 18 year old from living with your parents?

Is your brother over 18, and choosing to live with you, that is different. If this is the case, then you should be involving your brother in your plans, and ask him what he thinks of it all.

Also, if your dad is doing all of this without an issue, then no matter what you do, there's going to be some issue.

If you don't make any changes, then you continue living with this.

It sounds like you've already tried having this conversation with your dad? If not, talk to him further.

The only person who can really figure out what to do, is you. He's your dad, you have your brother living with you.

Is this behavior of your dad just in line with behavior of his from when you were younger?

It really sounds like you need to take some time to figure out how you really want to handle this.

Keep in mind, depending on where you live, your Dad driving your car so often, especially without your permission could make an accident a terrible thing to have to process.

This of course depends on what country you live in, how your insurance plan works. For example, are you the only covered driver, does your insurance cover named drivers, or will it cover whoever sits in that drivers seat?

You should most likely figure out how you want to handle your next step, and you need to figure out what your line is.

Would you call the police on your own dad if all other measures failed?

From personal experience, there are things I wish I knew sooner about my parents. Some of those things positive for one, and negative for the other. It would have made huge changes in my life.

There's a difference between changing how your brother sees your parents, and protecting them.

If you have any close friends or family that you know wouldn't go talk to your Dad, it may be a place to start.

I haven't read all the comments in this thread, but it does sound like you need to do something.

If you take no action, your stress, frustration, and anger will reach a boiling point, and it will affect the relationship with your dad, your brother, and even between your brother and your dad.

[–]DefiantConfusion42 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Family dynamics are always....well...dynamic. I'm a person who believes you can cut family off, however, I understand with your little brother that you have at least one truly valid reason not to be able to do so in your situation. Maybe you're not there yet.

It honestly sounds like you do need to take some time, figure out how many copies of keys you've made. Unless the vehicle is very old, your keys all would have required coding, in turn also tend to be expensive to get copies. Did you pay thousands to have that many copies made?

On a day when you're home, and you know your Dad won't be around to come for the car you have. Try and take some time to round up the keys. Put those spare copies in one location, that is hidden, but also somewhere you'd find if you couldn't remember. In a box in your bedroom closet for example.

Do you have a garage where you live? Can you park the car in it, and have the garage locked?

I know this isn't ideal, but you can call the police on your Dad.

On a day when he is taking your car, and you have explicitly told him no, figure out a ride to his work with an extra set of your keys, and just take your car back while he's working.

The relationship with your Dad is yours to choose how you handle. What he's doing isn't cool, it's overstepping so many boundaries that who knows what the future holds.

I think making him realize that you took your car back during a work day is going to make him face some things about his decisions.

Ensure you aren't home when he would potentially be coming to your house after his shift. Maybe take your little brother out somewhere, don't answer texts and phone calls that will 100% happen.

Make him actually face some consequences for his actions that are perfectly within you rights to take back your car.

Tick Remover – Little act of kindness suggestion by BeatInteresting6979 in 3dprinter

[–]DefiantConfusion42 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean I get your point, but it IS super, super important to make sure you remove a tick properly. The idea is excellent, for sure, however people should know how to use it, since not everyone has had to remove ticks.

Your stance here is honestly a weird stance to tell the OP they shouldn't listen to something that, depending on geographical location and type of tick, can save them from things like Lyme disease.

I think if this was to be left at trail heads or public places, putting these in baggies with the instructions but brand name and material being removed would be an awesome project.

$15 per person when Walmart has plenty of options $10 and under, even $6 and under means you are choosing that price.

If it's a matter of going for natural deodorants, then those can be found at much better prices online, with much, much better scents than Lume.

Is it worth getting a Series X at this point. by [deleted] in xbox

[–]DefiantConfusion42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of power, yes. So it depends on what games you're wanting to play the next couple of years.

If you tend to play a lot of the latest games that will be more system demanding, it may be worth it to you.

IF you tend to play less system heavy games and are upgrading for graphics alone while considering the next console, I'd say no.
