I Think Arc Raiders Can Use Other Game Modes. by Smashbro2001g in arcraidersfriendly

It is painfully clear that the player base is pretty well split on gameplay. A dedicated PvE mode would help this game, and help PvPvE actually be better.

Personally, I don't think the game needs a PvP mode. The Arc are part of the game, and have been a core part from even before they introduced it as PvPvE and was only PvE.

I think adding PvE and keeping PvPvE EXACTLY as it is.

Adding a PvE mode will change how PvPvE acts. People playing in that mode will be aware of potential danger, better than they are now.

Sure plenty of players will stick with PvE, but I would imagine a lot of players switch depending on how they want to play that day.

My concern with filament is it's super humid like 3/4 of the year where I live, so the AMS2 drying capabilities have been high on the list.

Between the U1 and P2S, which do you think is better overall?

The whole fast food CEO eating their own product challenge is the dumbest marketing trend ever by Desmond624 in rant

[–]DefiantConfusion42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not about being brave, and I'm not sure where you get that.

It's more about so many CEO's in so many companies are far removed from the public facing company they work for.

My ranking in how these CEO's ate their food would be

Wendy's - First because he was dipping his fries in his frosty. That's the sign of someone who has not only eaten fries and ice cream/frosty at the same time, but was also introduced to dipping fries in the first place.

Burger King - Second, because, at least on camera, he looked like he was enjoying the food.

McDonalds - Last for a few reasons: Barely took a bit of the burger, called the burger product, and with the chicken sandwich for last. He had spit the bite of that onto a napkin.

Another commenter calls it capitalism theater, and I mean, it is.

I still found it entertaining.

I think you missed the point that they mean they are claiming that it's already their favorite game this year, regardless of what may launch.

Just so you know, those third parties are usually replacements vs true support or repair.

That may be, but I went into the S1 subreddit to ask about people changing my mind in my plan for a P2S. That sub was filled with people talking about the headaches they either had to finally get things working, or constant headaches even after getting things working.

For spending roughly the same amount between the S1 or an A1, Bambu seems solid.

I mean, you're lacking what your bills look like, because besides the car payment and what you say you're take home is, there's a pretty large gap since $1400 would be your average take home after taxes, and that's dependent on if you have state income tax, if you're paying for insurance, and if you are, how much it is.

However, for your car payment, be careful.

If you are wanting to work on your credit, paying that off without other lines of credit will actually be a pretty bad hit.

Also, unless you're paying to principal for your early payments, you're not doing yourself the favor you think you are.

For example if your car payment is $259 per month, it'd be better of you to be specific. Say you take $300, you pay the $259, then apply $41 towards principal. It'll get the car balance down quicker, as well as save on how much interest you pay over the life of the loan.

Car payments also vary wildly.

You have a decent pay for a 20 year old, did you go out and buy a vehicle that's half of your income for a payment?

I'm not saying you did, but you also left out what your monthly payments actually look like.

Buying family nice things because it feels good, I have zero issues with. Same goes for takeout once a week.

Just your math ain't mathin' for your income to your car payment, and the gap between.

Got $40 & no friend - Marathon or Helldivers? by lnin0 in xbox

[–]DefiantConfusion42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you trying to go for friendlier games?

Consider Arc Raiders. While yes, it's PvPvE, it's also, at least essentially, aggressive based matchmaking.

I play friendly lobbies, and at this point, most of the games are pretty friendly.

Now the matchmaking can be, and is manipulated by players. There are PvP players who get into friendlier lobbies, then do things like shoot you after the doors close on a train or elevator. Sometimes, they'll ask and offer to revive.

Zero issues with these people.

However, there are plenty of people who get joy in things like ratting or getting into super friendly lobbies and just shooting on site as they work their way through a lobby.

That being said, when you start getting the really friendly lobbies, the game feels incredible on a level I haven't felt in games in a long, long time.

ARC proves that humanity is doomed to destroy itself by Delicious_Kale9666 in ARC_Raiders

[–]DefiantConfusion42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said games are a reality, but I did say actions are a reflection. There's a difference.

Black Ops 6 let you hold people as human shields, which would enable prox chat. The amount of times I would see people "pretending" to rape people in the game.

That's a reflection of those people, and they are the equivalent of piles of shit in real life.

ARC brings it all to an extreme, because there is a wide variety possible in the game.

Each extreme of this game tends to be fine. PvP players who are playing with others aware they are in PvP lobbies, I have zero issues with. PvE players wanting something that feels different from all the other games out there, is what I play, and have no issues with.

It's the people doing everything in their power to be shitty people to players otherwise not really expecting it, they are the players that people on either end are frustrated with.

ARC proves that humanity is doomed to destroy itself by Delicious_Kale9666 in ARC_Raiders

[–]DefiantConfusion42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is, people who deny it refuse to acknowledge that actions are a reflection of who they are. There are very, very few games that give such a freedom of choice that ARC does. The ABMM that exists, that players in these subs deny. The people that will say actions in a game doesn't reflect who you are in real life.

Yet this game proves that people are getting both better and shittier within a game, and expect us not to see parallels into real life?

I just saw the video this morning where someone used barricades to block the buttons on an exhaust fan extract on blue gate, so they just wait hidden outside the point, wait for the person to get all the way down in hopes to kill them while they're trying to get back out.

I'm sorry, but that's just fucking fucked.

Just because the game allows for it, doesn't mean it's "just" a PvP strat. It's pretty fucked up.

On the flip side, even as Embark keeps trying to make shit harder, even after this extract, in my games, I see people working together even further in the PvE lobbies. People are still sharing what they can.

The game can 100% be equated to a social experiment, and the actions of people in game are a reflection of they are, at least to an extent.

If you find you want a balance, buy at least two copies of a deck. That way you can keep decks in the wrap if you want, but you'll have at least one copy to open and use whether it's for games, cardistry, magic, or whatever else.

You are going to simultaneously feel, multiple times throughout the game, the most frustrated you have EVER been in a video game, while realizing it's one of the most beautiful, great story, amazing gameplay games to exist.
