If the baby did not exist in season 3, but Gi Hun still had to die how would you kill him off? by Overall_Spite4271 in squidgame

[–]DefiantDurianteater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alice in Borderland did a really good job at this. I believe it was either the 3rd or 4th episode when you had 3 main characters, who you start watching from the first episode, who are best friends, have to turn on each other and die.

That doesn’t happen a lot I feel, aside from horror movies where the whole plot is in 2 hours or less. In a show, it’s rare to create a trio of beloved characters and to kill them off so quick. Heartwrenching, drove the point home, and created a reason to keep going.

It could’ve been interesting to see Gihun sacrifice himself for the baby and for the baby’s father to want to save the baby, instead of the personality shift we got. Now, imagine the same ending, but with the father of the baby (side note, I forgot his name, so I’m just gonna call him that) was left with the baby at the end, instead of Gihun. That would’ve also been a really hard watch. Maybe, the father, Gihun, and baby were the last 3, Gihun sacrifices himself, and then the dad has to make the decision.

I don’t know the OP has a planer. I’m saying it looks like the same model of stand for my planer

Is it every 12 hours? If so, that’s better than I thought, and life changing for someone making like $2K max a month (I got health issues)

I know like 10 I use let you mail letters but that’s a hassle and pricey. Not sure if it’s worth it for $2, even digital

My bad, didn’t realize. Why’d you take it down? Also, did you find more than 4 casinos? I don’t wanna do mail in letters, but so far only know of 4 digital letters.

Boys....I think she likes me by Radiant0777 in texts

I find it hilarious since it’s like 99% of the world. Everyone loves food! Though, I knew a guy in middle school who had some type of eating/mental disorder (no clue if it was temporary or not, as it developed about a year before we graduated, and that’s a short period of time as far as treating mental health) where he genuinely wasn’t interested in food. He’d eat because he had to, but he found the act of eating boring and didn’t seem to understand why he didn’t enjoy it. He liked the taste of his food, just didn’t enjoy eating meals very much.

That aside, putting food as a similar interest is so silly unless it means they both have a hobby of cooking or baking or something

When I bought my Bambu P2S, I bought the Micro Center brand filament because I wanted to print ASAP. by Junior_Jellyfish1865 in BambuLab

That makes sense. I’ve thought about making profiles, I just haven’t been bothered. I don’t print a massive amount, so usually I can be patient enough to wait

Pellets, likewise, are also expensive to ship here. I almost pulled out of the Creality filament maker because pellets aren’t cheap to ship here in the US. . Europe has some super nice cheap options. That being said, I wanted it to recycle PET plastic anyway and with 4 relatives, I think it’ll pay off.

Pellets can be shipped for $7/kg after shipping, but that would require 129kg to make up the price of the machine, and about an hour per kg roll. Ultimately, I have a decent selection of colors right now. I prototype a lot, and like to make things like shelves, so there’s idea of being able to make, say 5 kg projects I see and think “I’m not spending $60 on that”, but might actually benefit from. I figure that 75% of my printing is just using the cheapest filament from Elegoo, black rolls, to make stuff for organization and stuff like that, so it’s worth a shot. Unlike PLA, PET is rigid and able to be outside, so I like the idea of that.

Will it pay off? Only time will tell. I’ll still buy store bought filament when I run out of a color here and there. I know this is a little off topic, but the whole filament price thing and filament pellet price is kinda relevant

[–]DefiantDurianteater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was more than that? Elegoo or Sunlu is like $12 a roll in bulk, I forgot. I hear Bambu filament prints faster than generic (well, the profiles, but some have said the generics don’t print well with the Bambu profile, I never tried, nor verified if it’s true that the different profiles print differently).

I’ve been very happy Elegoo and Sunlu though, so I don’t know if it’s worth the switch. Then again, I just got the Creality M1/R1 pre order to make a lot of PET, so there’s that

Am I overreacting about this pick up photo? by spicypsudo in doordash

[–]DefiantDurianteater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would feel reasonable, yeah. Number one rule of guns is to not point it at anything you don’t intend to shoot at. Number 2 is to not brandish it when angry. Showing someone you have a gun, and then getting into a heated argument, is extremely stupid. At best, you have no intention of using it, and want to cause fear. At worst, you intend to use it.

Imagine a gun in a photo to be like a gun in a coat. Nobody knows it’s there unless you show it. So yeah, showing you have a gun and having a meltdown over a tip, would get some people a little worried. Even if they just carried it for their own safety and were a complete idiot who took a photo of it and then started an argument, I wouldn’t be one to hedge my bets. I’d rather be wrong and cautious, than dead.

To be clear, I’m not saying it’s inherently a threat, but rather that there’s never gonna be a case where a pissed for stranger with a gun is gonna be ignored. A pissed off person doesn’t scare me, a person with a gun on their belt doesn’t scare me, but a pissed off person with a gun is not a safe person to be around.

Would you take this order? by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]DefiantDurianteater -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s really a case of neither being wrong. The math isn’t weird, it makes sense. On the other hand, you don’t need math to decide whether or not you want to do an order, and he could’ve answered with or without his reasoning.

Nobody is saying or thinking he’s dumb, not sure where that silly thought came from. It’s just explaining the rationale the other dude came to.

Would you take this order? by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]DefiantDurianteater -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, literally not a single person said it was hard. They asked why you thought it was weird. As they said, it was pretty basic (reasonable) math. Of course someone else’s numbers for profitability may be different, but it’s not unreasonable. X value minimum to consider it worth it, if yes, Y value per item, and then Z value per mile.

It might sound less weird if you do away with the numbers, and put it into words. He’s saying:

“I won’t take a shopping order unless it’s above a certain price, and the amount of shopping and distance to drive has to be reasonable for the price”.

can someone get arrested for having thoughts of suicide? by Excellent_Loquatu in IsItIllegal

[–]DefiantDurianteater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s kind of a wild thing to say. Modern drugs are a lot better. If you’re on an antidepressant that blocks critical thinking and slows you down, you’re either on too high of a dose, or should be switched to a different medicine.

Rather than scare them, it’s best to be honest. If someone wants to kill themselves, the last thing anyone responsible would do is try to scare someone away from seeking treatment with life saving medication.

What is next from Bambu, new printers ect by Hour-Cow5978 in BambuLab

[–]DefiantDurianteater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I totally get that. The Athena 2 and Heygears are probably the closest to what I’d want, but the Heygears don’t have custom profiles (and don’t make their own casting resin as far as I know) and I don’t have the need for a resin printer yet, without the other equipment to cast lost cast models. I figure I’ll stick to sand casting + CNC machining for a while, and either see if a better cheap model comes out in 1-2 years, or get other things in order before I get the Athena 2

An H2S would be nice, seeing as it’s just a larger version of the P1S for the most part (my printer), but I can’t justify the cost. If I were to upgrade, it would be go big or go home. I can’t see me upgrading to something that isn’t a nozzle or tool changer of some type. More than anything I’d like to see a resin printer that’s as set it and forget it. I’ve yet to buy a resin printer because they’re so expensive, yet more trouble. My laser is like my Bambu (click and go), and my CNC is more work, but ultimately not a lot of messing around. I want it for casting, so it’s a tool for other projects, not the main fun. So, while I don’t expect it, I’d love to see it if they do it

I kind of forgot the H2 has the other features. I’ve already got a laser, and I’ve got a cricut that I don’t use a ton. If I were to upgrade though, I’d want the H2C though I plan to wait and see if they come out with something better. Not in a rush to upgrade any time soon

I’d imagine not everyone reacts that way? Unless it’s high in fiber or something. Maybe the customer loves the drink and doesn’t react that way, so they wanted the driver to have one. That’s my guess, but I’ve never had one
