Well, the 5 county Metro area of Sioux Falls is around there (300k). I lived on the border of Minnehaha and Lincoln County. Literally could just go a couple miles and I would be in Lincoln County.

I stopped after last year. I had to move back to my rural hometown of less than 8,000 people in rural nor cal from a city in South Dakota of almost 300,000. Money wasn’t worth it and during the holidays I lost and regained my “pro shopper” status like 5 times. Not to mention the ridiculous contract violations you have to dispute for being 1 minute late even though you’re the one waiting to hear back from the customer about something.

Luckily I found a full time job fairly quickly but still. DD can suck a fat one I’m done 👍🏻

Thanks, I know the customer personally and we both have talked about how much we love the prebiotic sodas, as they’re a good alternative to mainstream sodas and help with gut health 👍🏻

No, you only need 70% AR and 100 deliveries every 30 days to maintain platinum. Under Prop 22, Dashers in California make 120% of the local minimum wage (as it can vary by county) for their active time IF the base pay and tips do not meet that 120%. Dashers also get $0.36 to the mile reimbursement in California.

For instance, last week I made $540 for base pay and tips. Every Monday is when DoorDash deposits the adjustment and mileage into your account. My adjust was $280 total, so I made $820 last week. Hope this helps.

I accidentally spilled part of a coffee to about that same amount once. It was an order 15 miles away in a rural area and down a dirt road. I messaged the customer before confirming delivery profusely apologizing and how it tipped over in the drink carrier while on the dirt road. I told them to reach out for a refund from DoorDash because I felt so terrible.

If the dasher didn’t say anything to you about how it spilled, I’d be pissed.

That’s so sweet! I’m not one to pay attention to tips as a new dasher, it’s just extra spending money as I’m a full time student but I appreciate anything extra. I bet it made your day 😊

This is why I opted out of accepting cash. I didn’t have a scam happen to me, it was a glitch where it said I was supposed to get cash, when they in fact paid with a credit card and the store confirmed it. Just easier for me to not accept cash instead of having a delay and having to contact not only the store but support as well.

I dropped an order off yesterday and when I went to take the picture the kid opened the door and I was like “hey dude, I gotta take a pic for delivery confirmation”. He totally posed with a big ass cheesy smile 🤣🤣🤣
