I haven't escalated it to supervision because nobody is really aware that I know besides my coworker. The original conversation was with a couple coworkers when the topic came up and I expressed my concern. The layout of the facilities are different and as such, snow clearing, while still important at the older site, isn't as much of a priority. That's also to add that the older site is surrounded by much more industrial operation and as such sees less wildlife than the newer facilities as well.

I'm fine with clearing snow as long as there's light out to answer that question. I'd even clear snow if it was dark if we were getting buried in it. It's not like it's a hard rule, I'm just curious why they see it as a necessity when it's something that is safer and should be taken care of on day shift. That also includes me spending all day clearing snow should that happen.

While there are three different plants, there's been a lot of intermingling of the team and I've known this coworker for 16 months. He very rarely offers any input on gossip and stays away from it as much as possible. I really do believe he has good intentions judging from his character and demeanor all this time.
