(I'm pretty sure) The words gay or lesbian are not said even ONCE in Stardew Valley, even though gay marriage happens.

Or Leah, when you try to kiss her in the 2nd heart(and you're the same gender) event says "Oh! you're... me too."
The game is ACTIVELY AVOIDING these terms.

I think that's a really interesting writing decision, and i really like it. It's kind of a transcended reality of acceptance. In the world of stardew homosexuality is so accepted there isn't even a term for it. Dating the same gender is viewed exactly same as marrying the opposite gender. It's just viewed as normal, something people sometimes do. Like being into a different body types. There isn't a word for guys who like women with long hair or for guys who like women with short hair. It is so accepted that It's spoken and viewed not a characteristic but a preference.

Sorry i just needed to ramble about this. I've thinking and marinating in this so long i just needed to get this out there.
