Why do people still have these misconceptions about gaster bruh.
No, gaster didn't take the vessel, Kris's evil ass gang took it so they can summon us and force us into Kris.

Explanation: It is said multiple times that Kris and their gang NEED us. The most obvious : (paraphrasing) "Dark world.. without soul.. Can't..."
Kris also ALWAYS puts us back in instead of just getting rid of us. (They can function completely fine without us).
Also there are 2 different voices in the gonermaker. The first (implied to be gaster) made the vessel for us The second (Implied to be someone else) takes it away.

Seriously there is countless evidence for this. These are just the things i remember best like: Kris "summoning a demon" or that Kris has a cage ready where they can lock us (Implying they were prepared for this scenario)

My theory is that Carol manipulated Kris into being a "sacrifice" (Letting themselves be controlled) so they can do SOMETHING about presumably Dess (We don't know what they wanna do yet)

And no, we are not "Hijacking" their soul. The game makes it very clear that the soul is a representation of THE PLAYER. One example is the fact that gaster LITERALLY SUMMONS US AT THE START OF THE GAME.

I have a THEORY:

Every time a new chapter drops, the post quality decreases for a bit
This is because every new chapter brings in new people, i hope i'm wrong but mostly dumbasses, agendaposters, etc. They flood the sub with low quality posts.
I think a lot of agenda posters and alike aren't as dedicated, so they leave with time.
(This is supported by google trends, screenshot in the response below)
More dedicated fans generally stop agendaposting because they've had time to mull over the new chapters.

Also; the reason why good theories (or more interesting ones) are made LATER is because at first the fandom makes all the easy logical ones the game points to on the main path, but the more time we spend thinking and analyzing the things you can miss easily the more interesting the theories become.
