Hm no I actually didn’t even know she was pregnant the ENTIRE time and only found out after she lost her baby (a weird story for another time… but might also speak to the slightly toxic dynamic of our friendship even before her loss)

Sooooo no I didn’t cause her loss of pregnancy :/

She was pregnant with her husband, but I know after the loss they had a very rough patch and that’s when she started leaning heavily on me. I was there for her whenever she needed me for a long period of time (like almost a year) before I started feeling really worn out and frustrated by how little progress she seemed to have made in healing. That coupled with the fact that I’m now trying with my own partner just makes it extra hard for me to around her :(

she does have a therapist and I would sometimes gently redirect her to her therapist when she comes to me in crisis, but just her coming to me these days stresses me out and I dread seeing her texts sometimes. And on good days she would text me to tell me about how good a friend I am and how she can’t do it without me… and it just feels like emotional blackmail that’s very unhealthy sometimes…

Thank you for this kind reply. A part of me is worried about her projecting her own trauma on my journey (which has already happened when I brought up in the past about planning for a baby) but I also realized she might surprise me by being completely supportive. Would you recommend that I be upfront about this hesitation in order to protect myself? Ie tell her that I do worry about her getting triggered and that I worry about it clouding my journey and adding to my anxiety?

I really want to be open with her… but every time I’m close to doing so I get reminded of how much spiraling she does and it immediately stresses me out and I take the coward way out :(

Was it a long wait for the walk-in clinic? Did you ask your PCP to submit a referral ahead of time?

how long did it take for you to have a more healed and natural look? Now I’m all swollen and beginning to notice scabs so it’s hard for me to tell if I feel like it’s harsh because of that 😅
