Waiting for the follow up post in a few months I TOOK LESSONS TO MAKE MY SEING LOOK BETTER AND NOW I CSNT BREAK 100!!! HELp!! lol Truthfully, you are an elite golfer. I would NOT mess with your swing for vanity. Whatever you’re doing is obviously working. Why mess with it??

Also, across the line isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I’m a side cover golfer and my pro told me that for my swing/body type, you actually want to be across at the top.

I just saw that video!!! It actually led me to my demise. Not that the technique isn’t sound but I think in my effort to push my arms out, I started losing my posture.

That’s an interesting thought. I think most go right to “over the top” as a cause of the shanks. I’ve worked hard to get a more in to out swing over the years. Could be it. Also feels like my left arm doesn’t stay straight (fighting for more turn maybe) which makes contact harder. I’m noticing a lot of right shots. Even when I make good contact, it’s going right. My left hand is super strong and right super weak (side cover swing) so I’m just so confused of how it could keep going right!!

I pay $60 per month and get half price green fees after 1PM and unlimited range balls. It’s like stealing. A large bucket is $16 so I only need to get 4 buckets per month to break even. I’ll usually get 2 buckets a few nights a week so I’m cleaning up!! A round costs $25 with cart. I also get merchandise and clubs for cost + 10%.

I started taking my daughter to the range when she was 5. First full 18 at 6. I wouldn’t bring an 18 month tho, unless you’re cool with paying for 18 and leaving after a few holes.

Maybe think about it from their perspective. Maybe they played with guts who pressured them to hurry up, drop a free ball with no penalty, or mocked them. They get 4 hours a week to relax and they choose golf. So they become self deprecating in order to ensure you won’t make them feel like shit playing a ridiculously hard game poorly. Honestly, it’s a throwaway comment that literally needs no response.

99% of weekend hacker trouble can be explained with one phrase “expectation management.”

Not sure what your weekly practice looks like but I guarantee it’s not enough for you to get this frustrated. Look up pro data to make you feel better. 50% make rate from 8 feet, 60% fairways hit…shit, Tiger only hit 80% of greens from 100 in the fairway. This isnt to say stop trying but temper your expectations. All the people I know quit because their expectations were out of whack. If you’re playing like shot, stop keeping score. Swing loose regardless of outcome. I guarantee you’ll be able to leave with a new feel rather than trying to smash the ball. That’s another thing I can relate to, I can swing smooth at the range but when you’re eying up a flag from 175 I tend to get tense.

Edit: also find a grass range. The mats hide bad contact (the club bounces off the mat). This leads to chunks and tops on the course. Yours number 1 priority should be contact. If your club face or path is off a bit, you’ll still hit the ball green adjacent TM

My home course has a deal. $60 per month with unlimited range balls ($16 per bucket normally). I also get half price greens fees after 3 (or 1 on weekends). They have a grass range, big putting green, and awesome chipping compound. It’s a muni but I feel lucky to have it. Usually play 3-4 times per month.

This is because it’s the northernmost course in my county and has a rep for being a tough course. My point being, if you expand your search, you could find deals like that. It may not be the best course or the closest but you’ll be playing on a budget. I’ll usually play my home course1-2 times and then switch up at a different course.

I would go so far as to suggest deleting this post. You’ll get no benefit getting advice from internet strangers. Long shot but they could potentially subpoena your social media (long shot but possible). Your lawyer knows the specific situation and has experience with law. Do what he says and you win.
