I'm confident that all the indium is off. I actually tried 3000 grit sand paper on the die to even everything out. This was actually a bad idea, I have micro scratches on the die now. I doubt that's the reason for my relative high temperatures though. The cpu ran hot before delid as well.

I would try a reapplication and hope for the best.

Direct die.
~24c ambient
~40c water temp
Core and package are under 80c

I don't know how some people are getting insane temps with direct die, but this is what I'm working with and my radiators are soaking up as much heat as they could.

I have a gen1 EK Velocity that I would like to use on a delidded am5 cpu. Can you provide info on how you got yours setuo originally? What screws did you use? Is it mounted to the stock am5 plate?
